https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/13020967#13020967 I've never had issues shaking pans ...also haven't really had the need to in a couple years though as I do mostly lc and 360 inoculation

Breaking up spawn weather at 30 or at full colonization is no different anastomosis will happen...even my lc is constantly being broken up...same with my agar plates but pans succumb to contaminates a lot easier then cubes do.

Hi cron. I appreciate the conversation here, but one thing I won't be doing is beginning to shake my Pan mycelium on grains anytime soon merely, because you, or any one else tells me to do so, and there's multiple reasons for that. I don't care how many accolades, you, or anybody for that matter has next to their name. I strongly disagree with your policies on the matter, and if you think I'm just *clinging cymbal, here, well, I'm sorry you feel that way, partner, but I am going to have to inform you that I have lots of experiance with Panaeolus. I have more experiance with pans in my current Panaeolus grow, than most people do in their whole life.

I'll concede to being able to shake pan mycelium on grains when you, or anybody else (I don't care who you are) does 5 MS grows in a row employing a shake of the mycelium on grains. All in a row. All consecutively successful.

I hear ya buddy...like I also stated I stopped shaking lol...I see no need to but I can't agree on the reason is all...but hey that's all good. I know a lot of people who have had great results shaking...and also not so great results weather it was an isolate or Ms but since I've started using macs tek I see no reason to shake

I would argue that those people who had great results shaking Panaeolus mycelium on grains is a direct result of the RANDOM FACTOR. It's not like shaking is a deal breaker, just that it's risky. I say why employ risky methods that aren't ideal? Furthermore, If you want to have better results via an isolate on agar, then said isolate's strains, and substrains MUST BE OBSERVED rejoining on the agar, then you'll have to check the transfers to make sure the trait has been passed on. Secret, when pan myce is rejoining it's strains, and substrains on agar, it will appear rhizomorphinc, so start grabbing those pan rhizo's you see forming on agar, kids.

Nice little pan cake Tek, but if you want to roll with the big boys, use spawn bags to make your cakes/blocks in. then crumble, and case the materials inside of an Ohmatic monotub.
Edit to add > I like Blue Helix's method. https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/4872154#4872154 The hamloaf method is pretty much Blue Helix's method stepped up. https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/24569602#24569602

I like doing monos with pans as well...but these days my goal is to keep things small as possible lol...it's not about lots of fruits these days it's about satisfying the need to grow
Have you done any bisporus yet? Fucking beautiful fruits...

Haha, yea. Helix also inocualted LC with spores on that grow. My method is only similar. My method requires LC to be inocualted with agar wedge, and for said LC to be tested, and doesn't employ a shake, or grain spawn. Also, no. I have not done Bi sporus yet however, Bi sporus is very close to colonizing it liquid media, and will be featured in "Colpandia Hail Mary Effort Part 2", along with Tropicallis, and a few more Cyanescens. I am actually pretty excited about the upcoming Tropicallis and Bisporus. Be about a week.

So im sure the last year ive been growing mycogone, ore whats called white mold Since I bought a new syringe from a different vender. growing the tropicals is as easy as cubes ! Tons of pins pop up everyplace they even grow up the side of my tubs and fruit, whats really nice is doing agar plates tiny little pins show up when you hold the agar to the light i can easly see wich sectors will pin the best for me I have 12 agar plates of a huge pan tropicals cluster im going to put to grains this weekend, CANT WAIT
