Great thats what i found out also, thanks
After mixing, a fistful of the substratre is squeezed hard. If more than two drops of water come out, verm is added to dry it out. I never add water after mixing up the substrate materials.
I always follow a rule that says "Too dry is WAY better than too moist."

They should pin on whatever sub you give em... hell, i had mine pin on agar ffs.
I had the same problem as you did, they never pinned on manure, after i did a lot of work with getting a clean plate out of that print..
I found out that the print itself was just bunk, because i got another print from a really good member here, and it was some what of a fresh print from a grow i saw.
And guess what, as i took transfers from this MS plate of this new print, the original agar plate pinned and i got a couple of clones from it lol... i didn't even have to clean it that much.

Everything ive got going now should be golden, my first and only of 12 tubs that fruited was from a member here that has grown them many many times it was a fantastically clean print but i still have problems getting fruits on six tubs
The next one so I'm trying out is pan tropicals they've just been introduced to the sub and will be ready to fruit in a week or so

Have a plate of pan cam with a weird blue lump. Maybe bacteria. A pan cam wedge 4 days on wheat.

hard to say with the picture quality but a blue lump is never a good sign. the wedge on the wheat is looking good though it could be a little more advanced in it's growth at this stage. growth rates can vary though so i wouldn't consider it a concern at this point. good luck with the rest of your project and keep us updated on your results.

Trying out pans for the first time. Ive got two Pan cambo rye jars going right now. Im wondering should I shake these jars or just leave them alone at this point? They were inoculated on 6/16.

and I wouldn't. different strokes for different folks. doesn't look like they'd recover well from a shake

Let them go if you can, Duder. Panaeolus mycelium doesn't like to rejoin often like cube myce after a shake.
Clean Pan myce NOT rejoining after being shook.
(In red is where the myce did not rejoin. In blue is where the myce did rejoin.)
This phenomenon can be observed with Pan myce on agar. Yet another example of differences between cubes and Pans.
Honestly, who ever perpetuated that cubes and Pans grow similarly needs a spanking.

Yeah I decided against shaking the jars. Last time I tried the pan cambo I shook and it never recovered.
