I'd forget about the coffee with Pans. Pans are already fast enough. Save the coffee for slow pinners. Like Ps. Mexi's.

Here are my babies

Most are growing on the sides of the tub, but i can see some pins forming in the middle now too.
Not bad for an unmodified mono
Now i've finally grown Panaeolus, mexicana sp, and cubes in a unmodded tub
Seems like Pans still get enough FAE in this tub, slower pin set in the middle, but still works

Thanks for all the input:
Ditch the Coffee
will use jiffy seed starting mix as the casing. I did buy a bag of Crushed Oyster Shells, Should I add a little to the Jiffy Mix?
I shook 5 of the 6 jars this morning. Held one back as a fallback.
Those clumps of Mycelium don't just break up; there held together pretty well. I tried not to beat the shit out of them but I also tried to get them distributed throughout then jar. Shake and Roll.

The 5 Pan Cyan "Australia" graib masters seem to be coming along, look healthy to you guys so far?
And two PS.Galindoi grain masters I just gave a shake after taking this. It seems to be a pretty fast culture
Been wrapping my jar lids with Parafilm right after I inoculate them while they're still in front of the good . My hope is that it will keep that little groove under the lid nice and clean as added protection for G2G transfers

mushpunx, looking good on most of those jars. in the one on the left though the mycelium kind of looks discolored but i can't tell if that's just because of the way the light is hitting it. and thanks for the tip, i use pp5 containers for spawn and the lids get warped after a while and i've been concerned that they might be leaving a pathway open for infection. i was thinking of using some kind of tape as a barrier to prevent that but parafilm might be a better choice.

Panaeolus Cyanescens Australian. From mushpunk. Colonizing nicely.

Panaeolus Cyanescens "Tampa".

Panaeolus Cyanescens "Tampa". From T1 agar transfer.

All grain spawn was photographed right before being shook.

I shall freakin' hope so. I noticed that too. In both jars that coloring is happening on the chunk of agar.

Mushpunx, those jars look good.
I shook these on 5-31.

Over the last couple of days they are really taking off.

Fuck it MB, unless it shows mold roll on, a few would be better than nothing. At least you would have something to test out.

I have some 3rd transfer P. cambo plates that are looking fucking awesome. This and Ham's Lucy are the only thing I have that rock like this. 2 have just tiny bit of bacteria drops close to edge, I must have fuckered up my transfer there. The other 1 has NO contaminations. It's just one side is not growing any where near as fast as the other side. Normally I would assume bacteria there, but I can see clearly through it and I am good. So I may take a wedge from the leading edge of this plate and shoot for a 200ml LC, while dropping a bit of it to grains. The other 2 plates are going to like 10 plates, hoping for a few full clean plates next round. Some how I'm going to fuck these up during fruiting, I just have this bad feeling.

I can't get much better pics. There is a bit of sediment in a agar, as well as pic from bottom has a bit of distortion from the glass. I can tell what these are looking at it over a light, but the camera doesn't capture them well.
