Is my pan mycelium looking OK? I inoculated agar on 1/1, I'm almost home from my latest trip and plan to make T1 asap

Germination plates can look a bit gnarly and will sometimes need a transfer before seeing what is really going on. There is some almost invisible mycelium that I can see. Make sure you take some of that growth right off the leading edge and avoid the granular looking centers.

Do I need to worry about pans sporulating all over? Do I need to harvest at a perfect time? Also, do I need to be misting every day if im growing in shoeboxes with a small gap between the lid?

Don't worry about spores. Pick when the caps flatten out, they mature a bit slower than cubes in my experience, so don't stress. Misting and FAE depends on your ambient temp and humidity. But yeah, daily care is most likely needed with shoeboxes.

I'm running out of manure that I gathered before the winter set in. I can't find any pure compost manure from cow or horse in the stores, only mixtures with over 50% of other stuff. Chicken shit and peat, magnesium chalk etc. Is that a go or no go for pans?

Regarding sidepins. I experimented with spawning both whole and half quarts of spawn to shoeboxes. The sub depth is obviously greater with the whole qts and all those shoeboxes are sidepinning heavily. No sidepins on the half qt boxes. It could be related to sub depth.

Bummer. Although it makes me think ttbvi doesnt even need a casing.

So I spawned one quart to coir hydrated with poo tea (pasteurized) and verm at a 1:1-1:2 ish ratio. The sun depth is 2-3in and the top layer is pretty thick .5-1in. The sun is colonized and I got two small spots poking though the surface but Iβm wondering if I made the top layer too thick.

Hey hey folks,
So this is the first time working with a tent and I have everything dialed in to what I want the settings to be - except excess temperature during midday.
I have to work in my shed as my partner refuses to let me grow inside so temperature can get above 30 degrees (celcius) in my martha. It never exceeds 35 degrees but that is still not ideal.
I will save up for a portable ac unit, however I just have fans running constantly in my shed all day and have resorted to adding ice into my humidifier, however that only drops a couple degrees.
Any cheap alternatives or ideas would be useful.

It looks nice! Is it water agar? Or what's your agar recipe?

Seems like youβre experiencing similar temps to me and I was contemplating throwing large chunks of ice in my humidifier also, Iβve simply given up on the tent in the shed for summer and had to get a portable aircon just for my indoor grow room but before that I lost everything to the heat, this summer has been a killer ): see how you go but your agar might be the only thing to survive those temps.

That is Milkboys French pressed PDA. The recipe was 8g agar 8g potato flakes for 500ml. But I think I want a stiffer agar in the future as transferring from other plates has been a bit goopy.

Followed the advice in this thread to get this tub and a few more. Is this ready for harvest or should I let caps open more. Ttbvi if that helps.
Thanks everyone!

Nice job Aspect! Usually wait until you start to see spores before harvest.
