Nah, just normal LC about 0.12-0.14% LME.

I intend to just break it up and mix with some pasteurized coir/composted manure mix. Unfortunately I don't have access to "normal" manure so I'm using sieved composted manure for this (looks like really dark almost powdery soil with lots of wooden pieces hence the sieving, it has no perceivable poo smell), hopefully it works.

Sent 3 Pan. Bisporus half pint jars (with a small amount of added composted manure and hay/straw) along with 4 quarts of pasteurized Coir with about 20-25% by volume of composted manure mixed in.
The jars smelled pretty good, somewhat similar to Cubensis, perhaps a little more "mushroomy" if that's a thing. The culture seems to be quite aggressive, this pic has been taken about 12 or so hours after sending them to bulk and you can already see the recovery taking place. When growing cubes I'd get similar level of recovery close to 20-24 hours.
I'm using Baba's "pans in monotubs" setup for my 20liter tub, with 2 31mm holes on the bottom and 2 31mm holes at the top. The bottom holes are currently sealed with masking tape, the top ones remain open.

I would be very sceptical of that. How did you inoculate?

I inocced from a print using a loop. The grow is on the streak.

I hope you can get more opinions but it doesn't look like germinated spores imho

It's pan cyan florida. These spores have some time now, so it could probably be something else.

Make some more plates if you haven't already. Good luck! Do you use the standard 2% lmea?

Pan puck from agar plate ( condiment cup ) 50/50 coir (bucket tek) sifted Black Kow ( pasteurized in bag hot water bath )
It's BVI from spore print, I think this was the MS puck or T1, but no more for sure.
Left alone and wasn't going to mist/case until contam or massive overlay look. No need.
I've had my pan cultures fruit outdoors in garden beds but I didn't count that as success. I get to join the pan club now.
Minimono, unmodified. Temps indoors range from 68-70°F 1Qt of spawn, 2.5qts of substrate. Sprinkle of sub to cover grains. Grains are oats.

I'm too afraid to mist or look at them, so they are going until I see green or spores.

First photo kinda looks like monokaryotic Panaeolus mycelium. But that would be really unlikely to show up if you're not actively looking for it, so I don't think so. Also resembles mold.

Was looking to take transfers and saw this. What is it? Normal condensation or bacterial growth?

Hey people...
First, thanks for all the input so far.
I finally got better cultures...
A question about rupturing stems
 Contam or grow conditions?
Nothing else to suggest contamination. My weather has day time highs of 32C-37C which give me night time temps that sometimes are as his 28C at 11pm. The grow room does not have temperature control.
Thanks 794

We gotta know what we're dealin with when we go pick these mushrooms... Some galerina species can really grow just like desired psilocybes do. A galerina will leave you dead or so I hear.

Tiamo said: Pans smell amazing and it's funny how the smell changes before and after shaking the spawn.
I pray my substrate is properly pasteurized and my spawn was clean enough because I got a big old tub on the way.
I spawned at 1:4 ratio with a slightly compressed top layer and the tub is almost fully colonized. I am still sweating about contamination, just because of the horse manure and having an extra step , but all looks good.

Well, not my proudest trays, but I love them just the same
These were my covid ignored trays of no-manure MiB that went redspore on me. My titans are picking up a little in the back, but probably wont print those this run unless they bulk up sadly.
MiB yielded 2 trays of prints and 4 trays in the dehydrator, im not complaining. Did have a handful of fruits startig to rot out. Not bad for trays that were ignored for as long as these were. Some of the black spores pushed through on several clusters. Even when starting to rot, showed black on swab.

Panaeolus Cyanescens Huasteca Spawned on grains, straw/coir mix substrate with approximately 1/5 of the spawn. No manure was used in the experiment The lack of proper cap formation for making prints is likely due to an excessive amount of spawn. It is possible that shrooms are reacting to the substrate without manure, but I personally believe that the issue is primarily caused by the abundance of grain spawn. It appears that mushrooms thrive with a lower amount of spawn and a lower proportion of grains in the substrate. I guess that using too much spawn can lead to overcrowding and competition among the mycelium, which can affect the formation of caps.

Small caps is from not using manure. A spawn ratio of 1:5 is on the low end if anything. Either way, congrats on getting some pans. Only room for improvement now.
