It doesn’t look like pan mycelium at all. What variety were you working with? Send me a message, I might have it and can send you some new spores

Here's another agar cup. Any better?

I'm sorry Bassman, it would be very difficult to trust anything from that plate.

Ok thanks man. Im just getting into agar. What should I be looking for that tells me things are good? And, I might try your suggestion of trying P. Nats.

Do try. Nats don't give a fuck and very easy to identify if you have the right thing growing

You can attempt to try to make sense of that plate while you wait for spores. I've gotten into the habit of keeping different types of plates on hand. Full nutrition (2%) agar, quarter strength (or less, or half strength) agar, water agar, brf pucks, using a syringe to make transfers are great to use in combination if needed.

What in the train wreck is going on here lol. They’re so stringy! Are you giving them proper light? And the substrate should just be glistening. Not pooling water or anything.
Looks very wet in there. Tilt the tub on its side a bit and see if water starts pouring out. If so, dial it back

Pan Jam on BRF. Bit of orange showing up but exotic mycelium does different things. Spore syringe started Nov 24, temperatures 14-18C. I think it’s time to fire up the oil filled heater.

Really love the look and feel of the 16 quart shoeboxes for Pans.
This is a 1:2 ratio. Did one another of the same size with a 1:4 of some questionable TTBVI rye that was discussed a several pages ago.
I feel like this is gonna be a game changer for me. Thank you so much to everyone who has contributed to this thread and the CBK of Pans

Got several PF Tek jars (with about 15% composted manure added) inoculated with Pan. Bisporus LC. Do they look ok?

How do you birth Pan-cakes from jars? Are you breaking up the cakes into substrate and casing when appropriate? Is cultivating Pan. bisporus much different than Pan. cyanescens?

If it doesn't already include poo then I imagine you'd need to break it up or spawn it in a fahtbag and cover it with some pasteurized poo + coir. If it has poo in it then just adding a bit of coir on top and inside a fahtbag worked for me
