Just a few more

Got a little over 10g from about a pint of spawn first flush. The more sparsely fruited tray with chunkier fruits actually yielded slightly more.

Nice grow!!! This is the second time today that I see those extremely white fruits.

Did I miss that leucistic/albino varieties are around now or are these just a very light colored pheno? Did the pins show some degree of coloration and are these ever producing visible spores?

Panaeolus Tropicalis
Substrate without manure, just hay with a small addition of coco coir. Grain spawn, about 1/5 of the volume of the tray.

I've been trying to get TTBVI to pin with no manure and failing. Nice grow!

These are the only variety of pans I’ve grown so far. I was questioning, maybe I fucked something up? Why aren’t they dropping spores? Must be a genetic trait though right? It’s carried from the original MS fruits into these cultures.

I spoke to the guy who collected these from wild. He said that this is only 1 generation from the wild collection and he hasn’t seen this trait in these himself.

Thank you! Let's make the pans less finicky. :gangsta:

Thank you, not all strains of pans are equally easy to cultivate. I haven't had the chance to try TTBVI yet. I've tried Goliath and it was quite challenging and they didn't want to pin without manure too.

It would be great to preserve the genetics of Tropicalis within this community, as it's a particularly potent, kind and low-maintenance variety.
Just one gram of dried tropicalis had knocked my socks off
I'm hoping to giveaway some spores next year.

I love using manure! It’s free! Manure good! Coir bad! 🫠 but I know it’s hard for a lot of people to get so it would be nice to get away from it for those folks

I have a couple jars of the Albino looking clone going, and will be spawning tomorrow after the beneficial bacteria take over.

Bout to spawn TTBVI round 2

I'd love to try growing some easier pans.  Thankfully my ATL 7 is doing great because bisporus has been a struggle.

Still haven't gotten it to run well on grains.  The sawdust jars never even took.  Supplementing jars with manure did the best so far but I'll probably try Baba's approach if and when I have some clones to run.

I think I have four mini bags inoculated with wedges cased around Thanksgiving.  And four more bags waiting for room in my fruiting chamber.  I guess I'll see if they like a long consolidation time as I told my gf I'd keep the actives in fruiting to a minimum.

Plate 1 - 6 o’clock and that little white chunk at about 10
Plate 2 - 430 ish

What are the yellow lines? Did you draw those or is that bacteria?

Plate 3 and 4 are easy
