Cinctulus will stone up too if you abandon it long enough, but not worth waiting for them to get big. Tamps are the stone explosion material to acquire if you want stones. They are fast af.

I was planning on G2Ging that pint (hence the pint in the first place), but heard pans don't love to be shaken. Also given the fact the plates are iffy and the pint was made from the same plates, I'm weary of G2Ging it too much. The culture came from my fridge and was a completely overgrown plate from 2 years ago when I very first started mycology. It wouldn't be the worst to start over.
If G2Ging is fine, maybe I'll G2G half the pint into 3 quarts and the rest into 2 or 3 CVG + manure 1/2 pint PP5s and fruit with some other bottles?

That's an ambitious plan given you have only a pint of "iffy" spawn.
I spawn pans at a rate of 1:2, 1:3 at most and sometimes as little as 1:1. In this case, I'd recommend 1:1 for fastest colonization and maybe save a bit to G2G one jar just in case you do have a clean culture.

Well shit, maybe I'll just spawn the pint by itself. I see most people doing small cakes so I was planning on pasteurizing a mix of CVG and steer manure to fill 3 PP5 pints. I planned to mix the spawn together with the sub like a monotub, but fill up the pints and be done. Maybe I'll only do 2 pints if 1:3 is the lowest you go and my spawn is iffy.

well, I guess I'm not really 100% it's not mold. I was cleaning it for quite awhile and I just got tired of it. if this doesn't work out then I have a print petey sent me that is probably way cleaner than the syringe these came from

I tried syringes from three different sponcer/vendors for the last year and could never get anything to work had to get a print to get a viable agar going

I pasteurized a mix of store-bought steer manure, worm castings, vermiculite and gypsum. Once cooled, I mixed in the pint of spawn and filled out 2 PP5 pints. They're colonizing with the lids (with SFDs) in my grow room at 70F.

Okay, well I'm running these in a room with cubes and Reishi and LM so I'm not going 80. Any official word on the lowest I can colonize and fruit? I have no problem waiting a bit longer.

Pans will do just perfect in the same temperatures as cubes. My temps are always 68-75 depending on the season, and they grow just fine.
The higher temps will speed things up a bit, but not enough to worry about attaining those temps.
And I have never had an issue with shaking pan grain spawn unless there is contamination present. I have grown a few different sub-strains and never had an issue when the spawn is clean. I often shake my jars before spawning and let them recover for 24 hours.
