Thatโs a nice looking tub! I found that having a small 8โ fan pointing away from my tubs and coming on for 5 mins every 2 hours really helped with air circulation.

Do you guys spawn at similar ratios to cubes? And in similar style?
My first cubes were by the book per bod tek, I think 3.5q at a 1:3.5 ratio.
Current cube grow is laymixed, like 1.5q mixed into 6.5q coir, then 1.5 q on that mixed with 2q coir, and a final thin layer of coir over that. Just trying things out.
Anyways I was wondering if the above could be completely translated over to pans. Both with tamping it down as well as ratios.
I believe i do my spawn to bulk, don't tamp it down as manure could compress too much, wait several days until it's almost fully colonized, then apply a casing layer, maybe like half inch or so, not stamped down in any way.

Hello again my fellow pan Brothers. I have a question regarding overlay. Only thread I could find was from rhe GOATS assura and blue helix but didn't really nail down an answer I've got this gnarly overlay, and idk what causes it. This my 2nd or 3rd tray that's gotten this and sometimes it's fruits sometimes it doesn't. I've had about 6 successful trays in the last few weeks before these and curious is if anyone else has something similar.

Hey there fellow cultivators. I have been working with Pan cyans for over 2 months now. I am using jcm's method and my trays started to fruit a few days ago. But the fruits seems a lot like Cubensis fruits so i ve been wondering if my liquid culture wasn't actually a Pan Cyan culture. I bought it from a smartshop at Amsterdam. Here are the pictures of wrapping of the Liquid Culture Ampoule and the current situation of the fruits. Looking forward for your valuable evaluations.

Is it allowed to share the name of the store who sold me the culture. After spending so many hours for 2 months and investing money for the equipments now i learn that all my efforts were for nothing. I don't want any other cultivators to face the same frustration i did.

No, we use trusted vendors here and as such have full recourse with them. Next time use a trusted vendor.

Unfortunately it is illegal to cultivate shrooms in my country so ordering spores online is not an option for me. So in order to start cultivating Pan Cyans that i dreamt for many years, my only option was to buy spores from a physical shop when i visit Europe. The shop i bought it from seemed like trustworthy with all the comments in their Google Maps page.
Is there any other logical options for me to find myself viable Pan Cyan spores considering that i can not recieve them by mail, i am looking forward for your suggestions, damn i really wanted to grow some Pans PS. i live near Europe and once a year i can visit Europe as a tourist.

Well, he's a bit lonely (actually I can see some knots and two pins !!), 1 week after casing. But he's there. First time I try growing panaeolus from my own MSS made with spore print taken from a growkit !!! Substrate is verm/brf/hemp/coffee grounds with amounts eyeballed. Casing is just potting soil and verm, thickness eyeballed. Fruiting chamber is a plastic bag with micropore filters.
Let's just hope he matures well.

4th or 5th harvest now, fruits starting to get quite big Just gonna keep it going until a larger tote is ready to fruit.
Does anyone else think pan's smell like semen? Smells like a 14 year old's bedroom when I harvest... Might just have a semen-pheno

Hey there mushroom friends
I cased a culture with verm only, and this is in fruiting condition for at least a week now. Beside this weird behaviour nothing happens.
It is my first time grow, so I'm not sure if it's the culture or the conditions.
Would you try to case again, or toss the culture and start over again? I'm not willing to use peat moss for environmental reasons, you think coco/verm mix would be better than verm only?
Thanks you all for this great thread and all the informations provided!

Edit: I just realized it's perlit as casing and not vermiculite . That might be the reason no fruits appear? Could I just add vermiculite on top?

Hey man, you have cased with perlite and not vermiculite. Verm worked great for me and coir verm can work as well IME (limited though). Perlite looks like a bad choice.
What else is going on in there in terms of conditions and maintenance and do you have photos of your spawn?
FWIW I think that Hindsight had similar growth in a few of his tray but can't remember now what and why. will let you know if I come across it.

The fruiting conditions regarding temp and humidity should be pretty good (25ยฐC and 95-100%), some fresh air also provided.
I try to get those going for weeks now and just get the hint that it's perlit, what an eye opener .
The thing is that I also added quiet some perlit to the substrate using gordoTEK, as i thought I would have vermiculite. I think I will start over again, but just for curiosity I will scrape off some of the perlit casing and add vermiculite instead.
There is no picture of the spawn available.
Thanks for the input! Will update if and how it turns out.
