That’s interesting elpico, I haven’t fruited them yet but hoping to soon. I did think the mycelium though had a much different aroma than bisporus. I find bisporus to have an almost anise or licorice type note kinda sweet while these reminded me much more of cyans, much more pungent and grassy and funky. But all the photos look so similar to bisporus.

You're spot on about the odor. When I harvested them, the whole room was filled with that bitter, pungent aroma. Very intense on the nostrils. Bisporus are much milder and sweeter. The mystery continues. Good luck with the grow!

Thanks mate, should be spawning a few tubs in a week or so, hoping for the best, bisporus is by far my favorite pan to fruit so I’m very excited for these!

Shallow trays (2 to 3 inches deep) are typically used by most when growing pans inside a martha or tent. It's not the only way however...

Yes - it is:

But you should configure uniform distribution of humidity and air circulation from top to bottom.

I am humbled by all the amazing grows I see here. Still not a success, but progress?

Rainbow Eucalyptus Hawaii on horse manure/straw/verm with peat/ verm casing. It’s in a JCM style FC. Temps stay around 73, and RH at 90%. Short of continuing to search for that good culture, any advice for improvement?

It is not only about clone - both culture from agar and multi spore must show quite a good result. Good clone will give you amazing result )
Have you measured CO2 level. Pans are sensitive for good FAE.

Thank you. I have no way to measure CO2 levels. I do have a 350 gallon per hour air pump, and two 125 gallon per hour air pumps running through 4 large air stones. That should change all the air in the FC about 10 times per hour. In addition I have a small fan that blows across the perforated top of the FC one minute every 90 minutes. I would think that is enough air flow, but certainly could be wrong. What do you use to measure CO2?

What do you look for on agar? Just the normal things....speed, uniformity, overall health?
