i twist the bag and close it with zip-tie and steam builds up, like really foggy inside.the bag manufacturers say never to air seal it because bag can explode if air tight and i am still glad
relief for a moment i thought i will not get to grow anymore
i am not allowed to do pasteurization ever, so this one time i knew nothing about growing shrooms and shroomery, and on disinformation i was growing shrooms and i try to pasteurize horse manure with pillow case tek.
the entire house smell like horse shit for a week , turns out horse manure was not at field age manure it was just dry manure that got wet in pasteurization.
now i do oven tek for all substrate.

Any guidance on Pan cyan Jamaica in LC? Per 100 ml water, I used 2 g light corn syrup, 1 g proteose peptone. Inoculated with a small agar plug on 6/22, kept on a stir plate at 80 ˚F. I don't see any bacteria when I let the myc settle, but the myc is very small compared to cubes. Good growth, though.

Not the full trashcan canopy nor the cracked caps I'd like to see but I'm still thankful! Peace River has been really easy to harvest too, they snap off at the base. This batch dried to 5%.

Heres a silly question...
I purchased one of those 'straw lovers' kits from a vendor that has the hpoo and straw already pasteurized. Problem is, its been sitting and waiting while my lazy ass got around to getting some jars done.
While I know that it doesn't necessarily go 'bad' will I have to re-pasteurize my sub mix? Ill be less lazy next time and source my hpoo and straw. (Maybe)

My simple opinion: if you’ve been lazy and choose to buy ready to use sub be lazy until the end and use it like this, if it’s fail be less lazy and next one mix & pasteurize/sterilize your own substrate.. Good luck!

They’re all beautiful. When do they start dropping spores? What’s laying across the top of the cakes? Foil markers?

Some are printing right now you can often see spores deposit on smaller ones from the bigger ones and also by shapes and colorations signs they are maturing, yes it’s littles foil markers to see what is what from above.

I did notice the spores dropping. I was wondering how mature the fruits were when they started to drop. Semperviva can take weeks.

Happy Friday/Saturday you panheads!! VL.... always nice to see you do your thing!!! I had 4 half pint jars of agar (bisbo) and I mixed it up and put it in a 7 gallon fabric pot full of straight horse manure. There are also 4 jars of grain that went bad as well. My question is.... outside how often do you water the stuff? It's in a shady spot and I put a black plastic bag over it. Fingers crossed for outside!!

I think it depends on your climate Scotay. For me, in a hot/dry climate they get drip line twice a day for a couple minutes each time.
On a holy crap note, I'm 99% sure these are Pans. If so, these are Mystery Pans from SA that grew from buried BRF/verm pucks, shown here.
