Cambos can look that thick and white; not sure what Jamaicans look like but I'd case 'em

If you go back a page or two you can see 2 minis I'm working on and they look pretty similar to yours. Is your sub manure based? I get more metabolites when using HPoo than CVG. I just cased mine and I'm now on day 13 of fruiting. Over the past few days knots have begun showing and I can see a few tiny pins. Hoping they take off soon, but I would say don't be discouraged by the metabolites yet and fruit.

99.99, if you go back a page you'll see a pic of my pan jam fully colonized. It looks similar to yours. Dense and with a few metabolites, i think from letting it consolidate longer then necessary.

Yes I did notice that a couple pages ago and yes they did colonize for 14 days I've had problems with overlay in the past so I was trying to resolve that problem I cased half of them in pasteurized Jiffy mix and the other half in coir/vermiculite

Almost at the end! Hopefully the caps open up a bit more so I can take some small prints.
A lot of firsts for me with this - hpoo, jiffy mix, pasteurizing.

Any tips on harvesting these tiny things? I'm guessing just snip/slice as close to the casing as possible?

Nice work brotha!!!
I found pushing them over like a tree would fall was cleanest method for harvest.

lookinward, congrats on the fruiting. they look like some friendly little guys. i notice that some growers like to twist and pull but others prefer to cut at the base to harvest. i have no direct experience with that process yet but it seems to me like cutting at the base makes the most sense. if you have two trays you might like to try both ways and see what works best for you.
Peteyboy, you get a chance to munch on any of those bispos yet? i would be curious to hear what the effects are like.

Sorry for the shitty pictures, but it's the best I can do. Does this look decent for pan cyan mycelium?

It's on FP's MEA within a 1/2 pint wide mouth jar.

When I have applied a casing layer I do the same thing, just kinda tip em over like trees and they harvest with very little mess or disturbance to the substrate. There is always stubborn ones though in those cases I twist and pull or slice with a sharp knife.
Its fun to tip em over!

What's the word on growing Pans on CVG (with a casing layer applied)?
I'm sure manure is more ideal but will they do okay on just coir? I liklve in a city where its hard to get Hpoo. I'm sure I could find some Black Cow or something but I hate it haha too muddy

I have not but i have 2.5 quart jars packed full of them little guys and im waiting for the third flush now. Im hoping to partake this weekend....i did try some of my stones yesterday though...had a jar go bad so i salvaged the stones and munched them down. Less then 15 grams wet and i was on a level 2. The stones were three months old.

After 3 weeks inoculated spore prints to pda agar here it is:

Why so slow and thin? Should I transfer to new agar? Or toss them? Prints: bisporus

Funky-I remeber your story, so idecided to start worth your 1.2 mark and work up from there...Im very excited about these, They look so magical!
Bisporous myc is thin and whispy, it will stay that way until the end of your consolidation period, by then it gets kinda thick. Looks like mold on agar and even moreso on grains
