Thanks brotha I pass the Pan vibes onto you my man!
I can't believe that's only second transfer...that's pretty amazing. Since people are still trying to clean their culture after 20 transfers lol.
I forget when i felt confident in mine but i know it was over ten transfers...

These are pan trays that I inoculated with munch's blenderless tek. my agar was incredibly stiff so I let my plates sit in the water all night long, shaking before use. I didn't break up the agar (like I had room in there) but agitated the shit out of it. I was afraid it wouldn't work because there was no visible inoculation points but here we are.

do you mean fresh or dried? 5 grams fresh would be a nice mellow dose that would give some decent effects but 5 grams dried would be an excessively strong dose that could get unpleasant. i still haven't done any pans but from what i have read of other's experience it sounds like .8 grams dried/8 grams fresh of pans is about equal to 3.5 grams of dried cubes.

I have been taking 3.5 gram dried every two weeks or so, every experience i have had with pans so far have been profound and enlightening to say the least. I was wondering if theres anything to be gained dosing 5 dried.

good to know, this is probably why you must use the cleanest spawn possible for success. my guess is that inoculating a sterilized grain/sub tray with liquids would be more forgiving for this reason. is this a good theory?

I shook when I put wedges in a jar and honestly they didn't really care they are actually colonizing faster then my cubes dropped the same day but I have LE with pans

Try this, drop multiple wedges in grain and shake up VERY VERY well for like five minutes Doing this lets all the tiny mycelium and agar pieces distribute and touch everything they can even pieces that are microscopic that fall off the wedge will grow Even if you have a little bit of contamination it will give the mycelium a Headstart over everything else I do this in bags and i always get fully colonized bags in about a week plus I never ever have to reshake them

I've been using less agar in my media. It basically makes it like LL. I had a quart colonize in 4-5 days.
Dont need to worry about excess water doing that. 1 wedge is plenty for a quart if your agar is soft enough.
With saying that I make 2 jars per 90mm plate because that colonization speed is awesome
