I would stay away from any antibiotics... let nature decide what lives and what not.

Sandose jar - 3/28

 Aus jar - 3/28

Ain't got much of an eye for pan myc yet, but I'm pretty confident this attempt. Took the cultures from MS along 3 transfers. That was going from some standard 20g agar to water agar and back to regular agar. These jars were shook once 7-8 days after inoculation, great recovery. House is being kept at 70°F on thermostat and everything's liking it.
Mixed up some half strength agar specifically for pans. Dropped these wedges and still continued to transfer out original plates in the meantime.
Pasteurized some sifted compost and straw in a 145°F water bath for 8hrs yesterday. Bucket tek'd coir/verm/CaCO3. Everythings got time to sit for a few days.
I'll pasteurized the casing mix of peat/verm/calcium hydroxide after I spawn it. Its moving fast, I suspect in a week or less.

I got germination on the 4 Pan varieties Baba Yaga was so generous to send me... getting ready to try my hand at Pans again... my experimental tubs tanked, I used questionable spawn I had sitting for a couple weeks for them... so next time I won't use any spawn I'm not confident about

Thanks Adas! This box I didn’t mix anything with it. The forest top soil/humus is really rich and they seem to be loving it. I have some gourmet block and chicken manure compost almost finished up so I might add some later on or in new spots I make and see if it makes a difference.

Haven’t done some bisporus in a minute, but back in with a couple tubs. One is being partially harvested today the other yet to pin. Pretty happy with this tub though, some of the best coverage I’ve gotten to date, granted I wish there was more even maturation, would’ve been a very nice looking photo if they all matured at the same time. I also went a bit heavy on the mist one day and some caps got some bacterial rot shit on em, only a couple though and fixing the mistake has saved the rest of them. Alas I can’t be too bummed all things considered, I will keep shooting for the full mature spread! Unmodded tub as always.

Genetics came from a clone on a previous unmod tub grow?

Very nice man
Do you see a reason why they matured more on one end? I notice that tubs can get uneven FAE depending on where they are sitting in the room like one side drying out first and such. I try to remember turning the stacks of tubs by 180o every day to even this out as much as possible, especially when they are sitting right in a corner.

I have similar thoughts. The placement of the tub is crucial. Need a place in room where a passive airflow happens. Most people dont understand this. they throw the tub in a corner and hope for the best. If no O2 goes in and co2 goes out no pans will grow.

In a corner with zero airflow? I doubt that very much. It gives the wrong impression for many beginners and its the reason more than 90% will fail and have failed with this tek. And thats a fact.

You suggest not to use vermiculite but 99% of growers do. I would also stay away from any chemical or antibiotic use in mycology.
Do you have anything to report regarding pan cyans?
