Haven't use black cow myself but there are plenty of examples that it is a viable option, have also seen the Home Depot steer manure blend work which is the same kind of product.

Lol, I looked at those photos and thought wow those two cultures are looking identical.

The cultures are looking good. I like to run agar at 0.5%-1% nutrient strength when running pans as it helps reducing the fuzziness and makes for a clearer growth pattern.

From what I've read, you can just get away with CVG bucket tek + 50/50casing right?

That’s what I was hoping for but willing to use poo if I should

If I can get my hands on some prints I’ll definitely be trying to fruit them in a shoebox. I’m very limited on space so Martha’s are outta the equation

Added a couple more air pumps and stones to my FC for its second run and this tray ended up pretty decent looking, I think.

Very nice indeed:awesomenod:

My pan jars probably have bacteria, I'm going to check them this morning.

I would appreciate some input on these. These are my first pans, ms BVI and Bispourus jars inoculated on 3/3 and shaken on 3/14.

Front and back of the BVI

Bispourus

I am not in love with the condensation on most and the poor recovery of the one bis 1129. That weak bis was the slowest on agar as well, so it is highly likely to fail.

But just finished the liquid poo pasteurization and coir prep (ty Baba Y) and have plenty for a mini-tub each. I have a mini-ez dial - water tub ready for each jar so no real harm in sending each. I am just looking for something to clone that does okay in tubs in my desert environment.

@Adas: agar wedge maybe.

Cloud be just overly wet grain or something is up. Bottom line is that it doesn't look ideal.

I saw you posting pictures of quite a few jars now that looked somewhat similar.
What happened to them? If you can draw a comparison then you might be in a position to answer this question yourself.

How were these made?

It is starting to overlay, the jar i just spawned looked similar not concerning. I say that only bc it's colonizing fantastic on the sub right now. But baba is right thays an agar wedge. My main question was is it colonized enough to the majority liking to spawn. I'm willing to fail and learn so just curious what your opinion was .

If it was me and wanted to just play with those jars for science then I would spawn the first one now, the next one a few days later and the last one a few days after that.
