and i went through the same exact shit about 6 months before you did so i know exactly how it feels, soon you will enjoy the fruits of your labor and once you commune with the pan spirit, you will no more..

actually i'm lying but you will def have much more success with them haha..but if you keep giving that much tlc you prob won't fail again..

i guess maybe i experiment too much(haha), but it has helped me find the more hardy fungi worth growing, and my own style.

Funky-Thanks man! You have been instrumental to my learning and ultimate growth in this hobby, I am very grateful :jah:

I cant wait to try the Pans man, Im so excited haha...i checked this morning and I have pins popping all over the tub now, and my very first cluster has grown a bit and look like little mushies now!

Once i flush out with the bisporous im gonna swipe the goliath you sent me. I am excited to try out the mexicana as well!

The cincts actually bruised black to the touch, but the stem butts were turning blue automatically, Without being touched. It was a really bright blue too like sky blue. Ive heard from BL and Mary or Sarah (i forget which chick) but both said they were weak. Shit, i collected 14 grams dry over the courae of last summer. I ate them all at once and had maybe a level 2...

99-i have no experience with a Martha but i know several members are doing very well with Pans in the martha.

Awesome job Petey boy, where you been FunkyMonk?! I've missed your input here.

I hope to get back into more grows this fall. After seeing Petey's grow i'd like to try cincs. myself.

Great info in this thread. I'm excited to kick off my first grow of 2017 with Pan Cambo Sandose.

I noc'd these 4 quart jars up about 3.5 weeks ago. I had to make about 6 transfers on agar before i got uniform/clean growth. Myc jumped off nice and strong and rebounded quickly after a shake. I overfilled the jars with WBS so I needed a second shake to get everything distributed. Here are the jars after shake 1:

Once the jars were 100%, I spawned 2 quarts spawn to 2 quarts of HPoo, Verm, Coir, Gypsum in mini monos. Sub depth is ~2".

Planning on letting them colonize and consolidate for about 10 days and then case and fruit.

Have any of you fruited in the low 60s? I have the tubs in a warm closet for now, but my fruiting area is pretty chilly.

GT- It's pretty tough to see the cultures in your pics, maybe try new pics?

I have an update on my fruiting Bisporous tub. The second tub has not pinned yet, and appears that it is going to overlay. What's interesting is that in the tub that is fruiting now, I only used four quarts of spawn. But in the tub that is overlaying I used 7 quarts of spawn. Maybe too high of a spawn to sub ratio accounts for the overlay?

Time for pics!!!

Noice!

Ok So.. guys and gals, I'm ready to case my first tray of cyans, and I'm having a problem deciding which materials to use for it..
Been Having a hard time trying to find jiffy mix for some ungodly reason, witch I originally planned on using..
and I really don't want to go out an buy a big ass bag of peat just to use a handful or two of it..
I'm just being cheap,this I know
I'd hate to cut corners at this point in the grow, but
I've got chunky verm, coir and hydrated lime atm.
I'm leaning towards just using the verm solo for this, like just straight out the bag, mist it to get the moisture in check and Chuck it into fruiting.. bad idea? Maybe just cook it in the oven for 30 mins or so and proceed
Anyone using coir for pan. casings nowadays? I've been reading mixed reviews on using it.

Halp Me shroomieverse! :shroomeryhead:

I dont know about coir or verm solely as a casing, but I use Jiffy mix, Is there a substitute product like  an off brand or something you can use. IT's springtime after all, every big bix store should have pallets of jiffy mix right now.

That's so cool! An agar pin is always a good candidate to clone, I wouldn't think twice.

Nice tubs Petey!

I'm running a mini mono of pan cambo right now that only wants to fruit around the edge. I'm guessing it's just not getting enough fresh air in the center. Next time I'm going to try a tub that isn't as wide.

On the plus side there are some beefy ones mixed in there.
