Yeah I havenβt seen the discolored rings on any of my other flushes. Itβs the instant vortex plus air fryer lol. The dehydrate setting has been working pretty well. I plugged it into a watt meter also to make sure it wasnβt breaking my bank but itβs really efficient.

Googled your air frier, it has the exact same accessory setup as mine. They must be manufacturing them to the same internal specs to consolidate manufacturing costs of the accessories.

A little picture update to my last post about pin city
These are almost ready for harvest, it's so many of them it will take me couple of hours to harvest these 4 trays.
2 weeks ago I've had first Pan BVI grow in a small plastic container as a test and it went wall to wall canopy. So I made 4 more trays to see if it was just a luck or not.
Well it seems it was not a luck, I guess I have good conditions dialed in or something else, but I've pretty much followed GordoTek 99%. The only difference is - I didn't make my own casing layer soil, I've bought one already premade from an online mushroom store and that one doesn't have any vermiculite in it. That casing layer consists of: "80 % black peat, 20 % white peat, pH: 7-7.5, Moisture uptake to about 60%"
So, I don't know if it's because of the casing layer that I'm getting full canopies or good genetics. But these are pretty small Pans, not bigger than a thumb finger. I won't complain, I know Pans aren't the easiest to grow and I struck gold mine here, but I also wouldn't complain if I get lesser amount of them, but bigger in size.

Might not be the biggest fruits but those are the 4 best canopies I've ever seen.

So well done!! Running more of other genetics will shed some light on the whats and whys.
Y'all killing it BTW.

Impressive harvest, you have great genetics! I don't think the tek is the main reason for your good harvests, it's really all about great genetics, clean spawn, and providing good surface conditions. The tek only helped with the last.

Yeah, good genetics are a key to good flushes but you don't get flushes like that unless you have a good grasp on how to manage those genetics. There are plenty of examples in this thread where people had great performing varieties and only produced mediocre or worse results. Nicely done Prodigy!

Great job! Good genetics definitely play a part in such healthy development in fungi; but pinset is also determined by health and water content of the substrate, and having the correct microclimate on the surface to encourage primordia formation. Jake Oncid said that proper evaporation and air exhange matter the most when dealing with Pans. Whatever environment you are providing your trays, keep it up.
Congratulations again on such beautiful results. JOC teaches to grab and twist handfuls at a time during harvest; just need to be gentle.

Yeah same - maybe I have seen canopies about like that, or maybe close to it, but I've for sure never seen that many trays together at the same time all with perfect consistency and density. Just incredible. You really knocked it out of the park Prodigy! And for a first attempt too - can't say I've ever seen that before.

Finally got a not great, but OK crop of Pan's the ones on the left are pan cyan "BVI" and the ones on the right I'm pretty sure are pan cyan "Brookesville" -
this is my 2nd attempt in the JCM - trying to balance the FAE vs humidity seems to be the tricky part and where I'm not reaching canopy style grows yet .. hmmm.
..and relating to the recent Doobsker post - my first JCM ( around 2 months long total) had a crazy amount of bacteria in the water - it was literally growing over the heater and bubble stones - this time around I used a generous amount of H202 in the water to try keep the bugs at bay. Any other's have tricks to prevent bacteria in JCM's or experience with it?

Thank you all for kind compliments
Yesterday was a harvest day, here some photos:

This 1 Pan tray was 232g wet = 15.5g dry The total of 4 trays wet was 887g.
I dehydrated half of them yesterdays and still doing rest of them today because my dehydration oven can only take about 1 Pan tray at a time x 4 hours wait @ 60 CΒ°. Altogether I expect around 50-60g dry.
I am now disappointed that I haven't colonized more grain bags right away, I just didn't expect these results.
The tissue cloning of these pans is basically impossible, stipes are 1mm thick. I have done spore prints from some of the biggest caps, but as I understand spore prints are not reliable for cloning exact thing or preserving same genetics?
I have also cloned some of the spawn grains before putting everything in substrate. I took some colonized millet grains, put it in agar and it colonized very nice. Could I expect same genetics this way?
Or maybe putting one of the small pins in the agar, would it colonize or are the chances low?

Nothing special, I have a tube through top of the tent where the misting go inside and the water drips from the tube into that empty tote.
