So this is my first time growing Pan Cyan Estero and I haven't gotten a regular flush like cubes but they have been constantly producing for over three weeks now. Every morning I get a dehydrator tray or so. I'm not complaining because I have gotten a shit ton but is this normal for Pans? I followed the Gordo tek word for word.

Yeah, Pans frequently tend to come in waves more than actual flushes.

Take a few clones of the nicest looking fruits and run those. They should give you more defined flushes.

the_prodigy said: Just want to share my first BVI grow (the TTBVI from Gordo), I've followed his Tek too and bought a tent.
Modified with humidifier from outside, a fan with filter for fresh air intake, and a small heater. All set up with timers, but I did some manual misting too. Actually, only in the morning and in the evening I would drop some water carefully with syringe on the places where there were no pins or it looked a bit dry. But in the following days as the pins grew bigger, I've seen the humidifier was doing good job.
I don't know if it is beginners luck or the BVI's are usually growing that dense? I've put only a small plastic container for the first batch as a test, but this one is filled almost completely with those pans.
Never expected it to get so many, although they are pretty small. Is that the genetics thing? Conditions? Maybe they get bigger in next flushes.
But they are also strong and not fragile as they look.
Anyway, I've noticed some spores dropped, I thought they will grow some more but that's it. It will be harvest time soon.
Here some photos:

Great documentation! Well done. You smashed it!! Happy Thursday ya panheads!! 😎✌️

so I got things rolling here are my trays cased. It has been 2 days and hoping for no whammies!! Everything seems to be humid enough I have fresh air on every 15 and kicked up the humidifier to run 15 minutes off 45 minutes.
I think this looks like strong growth, I have no idea though... This takes me back a few years to when I grew my first cubes!! I feel like a newb!!

Just want to thank you all for the compliments.
This was my first BVI grow, I've put a small food container as a test to check if I got everything right and it just took off.
I got 120g wet and after drying 7.8g
These were pretty small BVI's, I've watched a lot of you other guys' grows and they all seems bigger. I have few more trays almost ready to be cased and put in FC. Then I will see if I was just lucky with that first one or I indeed found good FC conditions.
In some of the trays I have some grass growing. Probably from manure or straw, I didn't completely run through it and cleaned it. I did pasteurized all the substrate before adding grains.

I believe it's not that bad of a thing? Just take those couple of green stems out before casing?

That's odd to see grass growing, shouldn't pasteurizing kill any seeds in the sub? Or can seeds survive pasteurizing?
In the past, I thought that seeds sprouting in the substrate was usually a bad sign, because that means there were seeds present that didn't get sterilized and that could be food for contamination

First grains from Estero. Photos all of the same jar. Four others look similar. These were inoculated from T1. From the T1 I also started T2 plates and LC.

Haha it's better than nothing, Adas!
I do think some seeds can survive pasteurization. I've definitely seen some sprout in coir. I don't fully pasteurize coir though
Casing this tray of Jambos. Fully colonized after 4 days and I've let it sit an extra 2 because of how fluffy it's gotten. A heat wave ruined my attempt at fruiting these last time. Hoping this one is a success

Next batch of 6 pan cambo Goliath spawn is colonizing, with manure mixed in:

I plan to spawn these bags to bucket tek coir, in a huge 50 gallon tub! I want to see how the pan cambo Goliath performs in a large tub like that. Hoping for some fruit that are worthy of the Goliath name!
It'll be 24 quarts colonizing in bags, each 50/50 mix of manure and oats, so it'll be 12 quarts oats and 12 quarts manure, then I'll mix that with about 20 quarts of hydrated coir at spawn time.
Should be interesting. I've attempted a tub this size once before, but that time I used Jiffy Mix casing, and I don't think I pasteurized it correctly, because cobweb mold took over the casing layer. There were pins, but they aborted due to the cobweb outbreak. This time I will probably just case with hydrated verm, since I've had pan cambo Goliath pin OK with straight verm a couple times now already.
