Hindsight said: Awesome sounds like you have some good steps. I swear by bleaching the tubs. I think it makes a real difference, especially when you have tubs that had trich blooms in them on previous grows. I have tested it, and if there are any spores left behind in the tub that miss your scrubbing with a scrubber and dish soap, they will germinate. Bleach is a great insurance policy, and cheap, and easy.
Agree on trying coir this time, instead of straw. I feel pans like straw better but I have had many wonderful grows on coir/manure. Bispos especially seem to like it.
Don't give up and keep on trying!
Why are minuscule amounts of spores left behind in the tubs different to spores that are getting in during spawn? Wouldn't all tubs contaminate then? Wouldn't be trace amounts of mold mycelium more likely to be responsible for repeated trich outbreak in the same tub?

Yes, mold fragments are way worse than just spores, which are all over anyway. I think the Trich can partially hide in micro-cracks in the plastic.

When I empty a tub that had a trich outbreak in it, there are large quantities of green spores that have attached themselves to the tub. If you are scrubbing the tub in a hurry, it can be easy to miss some areas. Add the fact that many tubs have latches and other areas that feature various ridges and indentations and these areas are easy to miss and extremely difficult to really scrub with a scrubber. But hit them with bleach spray and every spore in there gets deactivated, guaranteed. The spray gets into the nooks and crannies easily too.
The amount of trich spores floating around in the air has to be far less than the amount of trich spores that could be left behind in a tub, depending on how well the tub was scrubbed and how many places there are that you can't get to. My trich experiments have shown that a certain quantity of spores in your tub/substrate will result in a trich infestation - the mycelium what you are trying to grow won't fight it off. I haven't run any tests on how much trich spore it takes to overwhelm mycelium and cause a trich bloom, but so far I can say, if you can see anything green with your naked eye (meaning green trich spores), it's enough to cause a trich bloom. The argument could be made that the amount in the air is below the threshold required for a full blown infection (unless your air is thick with spores), theoretically.
TL;DR - I don't think the amount of spores left in a tub is actually minuscule. I have seen thick green liquid, big green chunks, etc. I also don't think people clean their tubs that well. I know I've been guilty of that in the past. Sometimes you get away with it. Sometimes you don't. Sometimes I'll rinse one but not scrub it and I'll toss it into the stack of tubs and then when I need a tub, I'll assume all of them in the stack were properly washed/scrubbed.
Edit - Adas beat me to it

Ah OK, when you said cleaned then I was assuming properly cleaned. I wouldn't argue that visible spore load could have an effect on sub health but I would also assume that a visible spore load will also contain fragments of trich mycelium. Anyway I am on team bleach after trich as well.

Damn, Iβm probably due for a mass bleaching of all my tubs.. honestly jars too. I hate using bleach, I know I can use gloves, but I got nightmares of cleaning butcher rooms and disintegrating my hands from bleach.. if only I was smarter back then perhaps I wouldnβt hold such disdain..

And if you run out of bleach you can always just boil some water and pour that over the entire tub surface. Will kill everything instantly.

Another cleaning PSA, donβt be like me. In a rush and not wanting to clean my coffee grinder I decided what could go wrong if I just ground my coffee with all the pan residue left over. Iβm here to tell you unless you like waking up in the morning and wondering why the fuck your bugging out clean your grinder.. I swear it took me a solid 30mins before I remembered that I did that..

Yeah lol, I once swiped out the dust that got stuck on the grinder sides and lid with my finger and licked it off. 30 min later I was harvesting some cubes and looked at every single fruit thinking how beautiful they are. Took me ages to harvest.

It is enjoyable, I wish I was responsible enough to label it or something, reminded me of when I used to drink and in a drunken stupor Iβd spike my morning coffee to fuck with my sober self.. I thought I was passed those days.. alas we push on.

Bisporus is kinda hard to tell for me, it's so whispy. The Jar seems fully colonized and is also "one piece" in the Jar.
But kinda funky looking for me:

Any thoughts?

I trust adas, though Iβve never seen a jar that faint for bisporus, mine typically look like this,
Not saying it ainβt good though, Iβm just surprised at how faint it is.
