99.99, from what i've seen of other people's grows there's not much you can do at this point except hope that it stays limited in it's spread. if it does, i would expect that you will get some fruits popping up. but even it takes over the whole surface you still could get some fruits but it will become much less likely. i've seen suggestions that scratching the surface of the blobs or even cutting them off entirely could help but i haven't seen any evidence that they do.

Well im supper excited to try pans, ive done about every other type If I could get a gram of mycelium off my agar plates do you think that would have the same potency as the fruits do I've got so many agar plates that I'm positive I could get that much off of them to try to see what they're like

my understanding is that the mycelium doesn't really contain enough alkaloids to give any effects. i have seen some claims that if you took grainspawn and let it consolidate for a while it would increase the amount of alkaloids but even then it would still require a large amount to get a small effect and i don't know if this is really true or not.

it's not worth it, I would just do another run and take an extra step to prevent overlay. I don't mean throw this out, just don eat mycelium

Panarchist said: Mary, are you saying that you inoculated directly to a WBS/manure substrate or do you mean that you inoculated to WBS and then spawned to manure substrate? either way, looks like some healthy mycelium. i look forward to seeing another nice grow of yours.
This is the first time i'm trying it this way. An adaptation of Bluehelix's protocol.
A LC was used to directly inoculate a STERILIZED sub made of a mix of horse manure and WBS/verm in grow bags; It was originally just an experiment, but the LC did colonize the media and it smelled ok, so I just broke it up and put it in trays.
Cased one tray two days ago, i'll case another tomorrow. It'll be cool if it works cuz I wasn't particularly careful with the LC.

yeah, i forgot that Blue Helix had done it that way. gonna have to reread some those old growlogs and refresh my memory. definitely keep us updated on your results. it will be interesting to see if this can reduce the total grow time.

I did this while ago. Posted on page 124 or 125. What was your WBS:phoo ratio ?

Thanks! So excited about these little guys.

The smaller dishes are putting out fewer overall fruits, but they are in some nice clusters.
One of the better ones.

I looked back at your grow- that was LOTS of OVERLAY- but it looks like you got some product so.
The only reason i'm giving this one a try is because I had some LC's sitting around when I came across BlueHelix's tek. This is a scale down version of the sub recipe:
Dry components: 73% Horse poo, 18% WBS, 9% medium grade verm.
The percentages look weird but they are all by weight not volume.
Water is then added to the dry ingredients to 65% H2O by weight.
If you haven't seen this older thread- Blue Helix has an impressive detailed tek here: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/4903105/fpart/1/vc/1

And here's where they're at today. I've started picking and printing the big ones when they get the upturned caps. So stoked!

Nice dense growth- esp. that cluster in the square tray,
Is that perlite on the bottom?- Its pretty big, like pumice stone.

Thanks everyone! Not going going to lie, it's going far better than I thought it would.

Yeah, it's just extra large perlite from a hydroponics shop. The stones range from roughly dime to quarter sized in the bag that I have.
