Cool, had a feeling someone would have had pan pins on agar

I have personally never had a pan cyan pin on agar. They are more picky about fruiting conditions. It CAN happen, but I would not make plate pins my primary strategy for obtaining clones. Save your plates after spawning to a substrate and keep an eye on them in case you get lucky.

Thanks, I suspected it must be pretty rare, since I havenβt seen many folks post agar pins here the way i seem to see it pretty frequently in the cube cult threads.
Iβll hang on to them for a while just to see what happens. If nothing pins in vitro, no biggie. I was just wondering.
Thanks again!

So just a quick question, it seems (due to an kind of sour smell) and alot of visible metabolites in the other tub, both tub's are very probably contaminated by bacteria.
Also noticed some mistakes I've made, but cased them yesterday anyway(also just to get used to the procedure). I am not really expecting any pinning, but will still give it a shot. But should I say, like if there isn't any real progress in 1 week, should I toss it and hit some new rye up with the myc I've got left on agar and start over?
Not really sure, I have a bit lower temperatures as you know (22Β°C-24Β°C), so it could maybe take a bit longer than usual to see something, but is there like a point where you guys say it's a toss and start over again?

I would wait minimum of 3 weeks and preferably 4 before giving up. Pans can take a long time to pin. For example, I have some bispos in my tent that are just now pinning after 18 days from spawning. And that's with a clone culture in ideal tent conditions. That's on the longer end of average for me but bottom line is to be patient and wait 4 weeks.

Shrimps, I would already have fresh grain jars colonizing. No sense in waiting for the current grow to fail. (I'm not saying it definitely will, but I always try to have my next grow a couple of weeks behind at most.) If one round fails, I've got the next round already started.
Admittedly, that approach can turn into a problem if you don't have any contamination. I'm going to have more colonized grain than I can even use. I'm going to have to add a JCM chamber or make another fogging table and double my operation if I don't let any grain go to waste!

Yeah, don't have any more space up at the moment. Maybe in 3-4 Weeks I can ditch my cube-tub for a new try with the pans Had to promise my GF I wouldn't stock up so much until we've got a bigger apartment.
But I have the mycelium on Agar, so wouldn't take much to hit up a new batch at some point. Wanted to keep that myc for any maybe failed attempts so I don't have to start from spore again ^^

Only just found out about rdu (my friend is sending a print) but....could you explain the huastaeca part? So it is pan.cyan? Or something different?

a 3rd flush for this box, does anyone have a possible explanation for the lack of spore production? I've always been able to print these, even if most of them printed very lightly, but this is new for me.

Talking about pans pinning on agar- i just found a 3 month old Jambo ms petridish on my shelf. I gonna try to clone that sweet one If those genetics make it on agar they will fruit everywhere.

Genetics are the only explanation I can think of. I've seen various pan cultures do some strange things, from mutants to sporeless fruits.
