I have a lot of knots showing up since last night. Even on the containers where the mycelium was eating through the casing layer. Definitely pleased to see that!

Anyway, I've always read that you should stop misting at the first sign of pins, but what about knots? Should I continue to most as needed until the knots start to develop into pins or avoid misting knots too?

if the mycelium is showing signs of fruiting you should stop all misting. your hydration levels should be sufficient to carry you through the first flush. good luck with your fruiting. those containers look like they might put out a nice harvest.

Do you have pictures of those knots? Aerial mycelia, knots, pins- IDK.

I just stop misting when I see those tiny round brownish caps coming up. You might have nice synchrony if they're all coming up at once.

Day 5-6 of fruiting conditions is often when it gets interesting.

I look forward to some pics!

I gave them a good mist yesterday  before I spotted the first knots, so I think I should be okay.

There isn't any color change them yet, just a lot of tiny hyphal knots that are hard to get a picture of without a macro lens. Fingers crossed that there's some pins in the morning. I'll definitely post an update with pictures if/when they develop!

Woke up to one pin and came home to a bunch more tonight. A few of the containers don't have any yet, but I'm not too worried since they were the same ones that were slowest to show any knots as well.

I'm really looking forward to the next couple of days!

If one can't get rye grass seed yet, what is the best alternative grain to knock up for pan cambos? I have WBS, oats and rye berries.  Or should I go find something else.

They're all fine as far as I know. I used WBS for my current grow and have a few quarts of rye colonizing right now as well.

Mary, are you saying that you inoculated directly to a WBS/manure substrate or do you mean that you inoculated to WBS and then spawned to manure substrate? either way, looks like some healthy mycelium. i look forward to seeing another nice grow of yours.

I'm the wrong guy to ask. try letting your sub consolidate before putting into fruiting
