so is this a problem of temps and/or humidity? They sit around 70F and 50-60%...
 What I see though

Your humidity looks much higher than 50-60% based on the condensation on your trays. I am averaging just about that same temperature, and while its not ideal, I have decent results from good cultures. The limp look also would lead me to believe the humidity is running at much higher than you think.

I agree your humidity levels are higher than 50-60% or your substrate would be dry and caps cracking and fruits aborting. Around 80-85% is as low as you can go with pans, in my own experience anyway. Maybe you are misting the hell out of them multiple times a day?
I haven't tried low temps so that could be what is causing your poor pinset. I have only ever ran mine at 78-83F, and for the last year or so I have settled at 78F constant.

Thank you both. I meant to say the 50-60% was the room humidity. The boxes are in an ez dial mono and I may or may not have just misted before taking that, but I have been misting pretty heavy also. Still misreading them, thank yous again

Jambo clones 20 hrs after dropping them on WA. These are pieces of the stem cut with flame sterilized scissors. They have recovered faster than the last oyster clones I took. Will be interesting to see how long it will take for them to start growing out.

This time I'll biopsy straight to LC I think.

How fast is jambo myc on plates? Before I germinated mine I was under the impression that they are lightning fast but my Ghost plates are way faster than these jambos. I'm a total Pan noob so it's kinda makin' me nervous

At the moment my grow room hits close to 80F in the early afternoon and stays at about 73-75F which has boosted growth quite a bit. The MS plates before going to LC colonized between 60F and 70F and were much slower. I was very surprised to see these bits fluff up that much in under 24hrs. TBH I am a noob to these varieties I am running here ATM as well and my brain tends not to be able to retain such information as growth speed well but I will post some updates of the clone plates so you have something to compare.
As long as the culture looks clean I would try to fruit it, speed is not everything as far as I am concerned. Maybe your Ghost is on steroids?
I have started lowering my agar nutes on some plates to 0.5% now btw and am running those parallel to 1% plates to see how this is affecting things. Using 1% for everything for a while now with no ill effect and would like to find out how low I can go. Will update on this asap.

Digginβ those cakes hindsight definitely got that mystical vibe to them! Cross post. Australian RDU has been giving me some trouble with many cultures stalling out at fruiting, finally found another good one. Unmodified tub as always. Switching up the spawn though with supplemented manure spawn. Like 20/80 grain/manure. I was noticing in my bisporus runs getting good first flushes then petering out quickly on subsequent flushes. Colonization of spawn was effective and good, typically my pan cultures have a hard time with oats for some reason but the manure in conjunction with oats seems to be good, so will be continuing with this new mix. Hoping the added nutrition can bolster yield on subsequent flushes. Currently only RDU is pushing fruits though Texas cyan is beginning to pin and I suspect bisporus is a few days away from pins.

Still can't believe you guys are getting flushes like this in unmod tubs.
Supplemented manure spawn? Are you saying you are blending 2 parts uncolonized grain with 8 parts manure and mixing your colonized grain spawn into that?

Yeah if I understand you correctly. Going from milo masters to sterile jars of 20% oats 80% manure, those then get mixed in with 50/50 coir/manure substrate. I only do this with pans because whenever I go from grain master to grain working they consistently stall out on me for whatever reason. Previously I was going grain master to 100% manure working to substrate so in essence those tubs had like no grain in them at all and I suspect weβre running out nutrition, though this is just a guess and depending how subsequent flushes work with this mix may give more insight. I think the biggest challenge with these unmodded tubs is finding a culture that tolerates misting a lot. Some wonβt tolerate it while others like this one will. Since I have to mist frequently finding those are important, again though this is just a guess more or less.
