I've been where you are at before, so you'll get them I'm sure. I figured sharing that would be some encouragement for some. They are well worth the effort. I already can't wait to do it again, and I'm definitely going harder next time. I'm going to have to get a sleeping bag though because our warm weather is going to be gone soon.

Jokes aside, you will definitely love the Bisporus as well, if not more.
I feel that it takes balls to trip indoors. That has fucked me up every time I've done it. Even a backyard is more comforting to me as long as it's private. I think it's something about being in a normal environment while I am feeling and acting in very abnormal ways. I like to go someplace completely strange and different to act out my crazy trip.
Another thing that is different with this trip is that I've been taking microdoses every few days on average for the past several months. I feel like they have been conditioning me for the real trips. They certainly haven't raised my tolerance by any considerable degree, but I wonder if it improved my response. The clarity of this trip really blew me away.

Great trip report! I agree with Adas, alone at night in the woods might spark some anxiety for me even if I'd be totally fine with it when sober. But I'm glad it all worked out for you. Sounds like a really good and pleasant trip.

Great report (I get "lost" in the woods behind by house all the time. Funny thing is I call for my cat (yes my cat not dog) and he brings me home. No sure I could handle that while tripping)

Appreciate it sir!
I must ask, was that first pan pic in your signature done in a mono? Any chance you'd share the tote size/hole sizes? Now THAT is a nice flush

The first pic (leftmost) in my signature is Subtropicalis. I grow everything except cubes in a tent so can't offer any advice on pans in a mono unfortunately. Baba Yaga is the resident pan mono expert who puts out killer flush after killer flush in monotubs. He has a whole thread about pans in a mono here: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/27637997/fpart/1/vc/1

Ahhh right on! I'm pretty new to the whole exotic game but I've heard nothing but good things about those and I believe my vendor stocks swabs, maybe I'll have to put those on my Christmas list too
Baba Yaga is definitely the goat for pans in tubs, will be trying his techniques for my next pan grows. Much to learn, I have

This is just a random post from me, but I've noticed something strange today. I was spawning Pan mycelia and after shaking the jars, they smelled different than normal. The difference is that I've added a bit of shit-sawdust into the grain jars before sterilizing it. The Bunnell smelled different, but the Bisporus smelled VERY different. Very much like Turkey Tail grain spawn for some reason! Makes me think the substrate encourages different gene expression, or maybe the enzymatic decomposition of the cellulose/lignin/whatever creates those smell compounds.
Sorry for the rant. Just found it neat AF.

I’ve noticed that too adas, not much with bisporus but with cyans my masters which are grain smell very strongly, my spawn jars though which are primarily manure get almost sweeter and less harsh, I generally don’t like the smell of cyans though all that much.

pan cyans booming in my field after the hurricane we had in florida! also found a very beautiful pan cinctulus i believe.
Is anyone interested in some wild prints? I have one right now but i do not have the expertise nor the space to grow in my current situation. I will gather more and gladly give them out in the future if people want them.

Here we go!
Wild coast and rainbow eucalyptus tubs.
I’m going with a much lower maintenance style this time, without the fogger/fan/timer setup so hopefully it does ok.

Looking at the picture I just noticed the tub that isn’t colonizing the casing looks like it may have a handful of pins already
It’s good to be back into pans.

Hey all,
I'm pretty new to growing mushrooms with agar, and I thought I would give it a try with both cubensis and copelandia. I lost one of my dishes due to contamination, but the other three were going pretty good. One of them grew a lot, creating a lot of mycelium, but after 12 days I noticed that in the middle it started becoming blue-ish / green-ish, underneath the mycelium.

After around one week, it was all over the plate.

My first thought is that this is contamination, but it's strange that it started growing after 10 days, and that it is within the mycelium. Any ideas?

A small update on my Pan "Jamaika" grow:
Inoculated on the 5. of November with one of my Petridish with this TEK: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/25987049

Yeah I know, visibility is bad in those bags, but no contams so far and the pan is growing quickly.
Also inoculated some Grains with my second Petridish:

They are almost fully colonized, going to give them another shake an then will use the grains for this TEK: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/27637997#27637997
Going to try the grains only with Worm-humus and Coir/verm as an experiment next to my manure Pans. Just to see how they separately preform.
And just because I just wanted to keep something in my backhand if contams take my grows, I made a transfer from those t1 dishes to t2:

You see how different the two myceliums are, the less fuzzy one is in the hpoo/compost/straw/verm/gypsum/rye bags and the fuzzy ones were inoculated into the grains.

Ive had similar (but not as dark), it reminds me of bruising from the mycelium not having more water to pull from the agar. Feel free to transfer to grains.

Harvested a bunch of these today! Nothing to write home about but happy nonetheless.
Also had my first pans trip yesterday on .75 dry, all I can say is HOLY SHIT. Was expecting a level 2ish shroom experience but what I got was at least level 2, very clear and coherent headspace, surreal crystalline visuals AND the feeling of a moderately high dose of MDMA that had me dancing, singing and rolling around on my floor in a high-energy state of pure euphoria for hours.
As a seasoned tripper I can say with certainty that I've never experienced something like that on any dose of cubensis. The body high was something else and the only thing I've tried that's on the same level would be MDMA, and even that has never given me the energy I had during the trip yesterday. I am officially a believer that there is something really special with this species and I truly can't wait to try a higher dose.
