I second VL's observation. Veil remnants like this are atypical for pans.
You got some spores?

Ah man, that would be a bummer... if that's the case at least I finally learned how to pasteurize properly.
I don't have spores at the moment,Baba. I will move soon though and this is probably the last run till I settled in my new home. That's why I hoped to still be able to try some pans, while being still here.
Oh before I forget (just because I still got hope, lol), here's a pic of the mycelium. To me it didn't look like typical cube myc. What do you guys think?

I just saw this write up from Adas, and wanted to repost it again since I had missed it before. I haven't taken the time to read it yet, so if it doesn't mention water agar, combining WA with this should be the bomb.

Just when you thought the substrate was spent.. Initially there was just 1 mushroom, I though "okay I'll let this one finish and throw the sub out". Soon enough, there was a FULL flush!
All in all, this substrate (approx. 500ml) has already produced 4.7g of dry Bisporus! Absolutely insane. And for the fun of it, I'll try for a last flush. But not sure if anything will happen.

That is correct. That's all I'm gonna be doing from now on. I've literally managed to harvest more Bisporus mass from this one substrate than all of my previous indoor attempts. The learning curve was really crazy, but I'm so happy I didn't give up!

Thanks for sharing your process, take some of the steepness off that curve for the rest of us. Im making my first attempt at a pan grow, (bisporus), gonna streak some plates and start some cakes from spore this weekend. Will plan to try your method out once they get that far along.

Yo yo pan fam. Its been a long minute since I've been about but I'm nearly at the point I can start culting again so I thought I'd stop in and say hi. I'm hoping my old prints are still viable, got one of JCMs jambo prints I've been itching to put to plates for just over a year now. Hope you guys are all good, I'm glad to be back.

So just wanted to share this experience on 0.25gr dried pan bisporus:
Yesterday I went to the cinema with a friend, movie was starting at 21:30, so we went to the city by bus which takes 30min to get there. Departed right after dinner, around 17:45 immediately took the capsule before the bus was there. So 45min in we decided take a beer and we both already noticed something was happening, so we quickly finished our second beer and decided to go to the park near the cinema. When we were walking in that direction the mushrooms were taking effect.. as we noticed the beers did not affect us (normally it would, as we both drink sporadically) and our sight sharpened. By the time we got at the park it was already pitch black outside.. but thanks to the music none of it made me feel uncomfortable, so we were sitting listening to music, talking, when all of the sudden he ha to laugh.. because 'his head became the wind' no idea what he was talking about probably his capsule was a tad stringer than mine.. anyway he started laughing really hard, which triggered me laughing too.. we both starting laughing really loud, so much our stomach and jaws hurt.. tears rolling down our cheeks.. this lasted 15min or so, then a moment of calmth again untill the second wave arrived.. no visuals nor specular visual distortions as far as I could tell. So I was a bit disappointed as 1gr was insane.. so I didn't understand why 0.25gr could be this mild.but nevertheless listened to music which was beautifull.. walked a bit around the park which was pleasant. Frankly the darkness was nice and just calm, hardly any people.
By the time we walked to the movie the trip was over and we had a nice afterglow .. so we went into the cinema, but we noticed the switch from calm/serene/totally dark to busy and noicy was not great.. the marvel (action)movie turned out a disappointment and we were happy to leave the cinema. Nevertheless had a great time and will either just trip or do just a light dose right before the movie starts (did that before and was a blast).
Decided to up the dose to 0.5gr next time and just go the park.. not the cinema.
