Hindsight took care of the first question, I'll try to field the last. The idea is to not have to hand water, but during the tent's learning-curve period, or for any other reason such as extreme weather changes, or the fogger runs dry for a bit, etc., hand watering is acceptable.

If it ever comes to this, you'll want to be precise with the application of water, rather than use a hand sprayer to mist everything. (This is a safer bet than misting by hand.) A syringe and needle allow you to drip or stream water right where you want it with pinpoint accuracy. There's no need to stick the needle into the casing, just drip the water where it's needed, and you'll see it soak right in to the casing layer. For now, avoid getting the fruits wet by hand. If the fogger does it, cool. Sometimes the fruits are fine if misted by hand, sometimes they are not.

I am blown away by my Pan tropi petri dish. I innoc'd it on 3/6 of this year and its 10/19 and the dish looks still new! This Pan tropi mycelium is insane! Does it ever age?

Usually my Cubenis agar plates will go bad with mold after about a month post-colonization. Panaelous is an amazing species.

The middle section is missing because about 2 weeks ago, i used some colonized agar to make L.I.

Just put some pan Cyan Australia (MSS to swab)to agar and also to 5%D5 and .5% D5. Plan is to eventually have an isolate from agar to culture to the endless supply of expiring D5 litre bags I have access to. In the meantime I'm inoculating bags with MSS of varying stuff. Cubes, pans, Ps. Cyans, Azurencens, and Mexicana. This is fun. The spore clumps in the .5 bag are developing larger halos than the 5 bag, looks like wispy strands.

5% dextrose in a saline solution. Available at pharmacies and hospitals. Mine come in assorted sizes of iv bags

How does the mycelium react to the saline solution? I have some 0.9% isotonic saline solution laying around and was wondering if I could use it for spore syringes ^^

The D5 bags are just dextrose and water, sterile. No salts.

Not yet. Ive grown some mycelium on PF Tek but no fruits. I inoculated some manure i bought but nothing grew. The species seems picky about substrates, for the mycelium and for fruiting. I inoculated some manure mix i bought from Puerto Rico with LI. Im confident it will work but gonna have to wait.

If the manure from Puerto Rico doesnt work, Im gonna try a 50/50 blend with PF Tek mix with the Puerto Rico manure. That should do the trick

Hey.!

Your talk about old pan. Trop. Mycelium makes me want to post this tray of my 22 month old pan. Trop. culture that i cloned from a growkit. I know It's not the most convincing canopy but I think It's due to bad luck ass this culture have done better.
I haven't fruiting it over the last half year because i have been playing with my Stones.. (tamps) i gonna run a few trays more an then just let it die out ass i got some new things coming up. I will of course save some spores.

Hindsight If you will like to try this variety let me know.

Hey Chaos

The culture is 22 months. I have been feeding occasionally G2G. This is maybe transfor 10-12 so the mycelium is fresh.

I hope I'm wrong, but I'm not so sure that's a pan. That white ring below the cap might be a veil, but the photo is too grainy for me to be sure.

Mislabeled prints/syringes are far too common. I know I've mislabeled plates before, it took a good week or so before I realized it. And that was working with just 2 at a time, imagine how easy it is to do when someone has several different kinds growing at a time!
