Hello guys. This is my pan cambo jar that I inoculated. Is it contam? I shook it after inoculation. Never seen anything like it before. It's been 6 days since inoculation from MS

That looks bacterial to me. Appears to be bruising on the mycelium and excess moisture on the jar - both things I often see with bacterial contamination. Did you have that much condensation on the glass when you knocked up the jar (IE were your grains super wet or did you add a ton of LC), or did the condensation come later?

It was from MS. There was no condensation before. The water content was optimal.

Then I would say you very likely have contamination in there. In my experience, when the water content of the grain is optimal, and as the jar grows out you get a ton of condensation inside of the jar, that is caused by excess temperature produced by bacterial activity.

That's your problem. You never want to inoculate grains with a spore syringe. Spore syringes are rarely sterile. They are most often contaminated with bacteria but in the case of your syringe there, that looks like it is growing mycelium of some variety which is very strange - a spore syringe should contain distilled water and spores only - no nutrients. In order for mycelium to grow in your syringe, as shown in your pic, there must be nutrients in the water. I would toss that spore syringe.

If you have to use spore syringes in the future, put them to agar plates so you can see what grows and try to isolate the mycelium cultures you're trying to grow.

Thank you for your response. Did you see mycelium in the water?

Yes that big blob right in the center under the price tag. I can't be certain that's what it is based on that photo but I'm pretty confident that's what I'm seeing. A clearer pic would help. Can you see a fuzzy ball-looking thing there in the middle? A bit grey in color?

Yes I see it. Couldn't it be pan cambo mycelium?

Should I wait and see if the grain spawn will be alright?

It absolutely could be, yes, but could also be contamination. It's too hard to tell what it is unless it's on agar, and even then, sometimes you can't always identify competing fungal contamination with 100% accuracy.

But even if it is cambo mycelium, why would it be growing in a syringe that should contain only distilled water and spores - no nutrients?

How about the jar? Should I wait and see if the bruising heals?

Ho'okipa prints, nice and dark after sitting for 4 nights! This is not my norm, I put them to foil right before I left town for a few days. Unfortunately, they had a slight sour smell when I opened them and the caps had darkened a bit. I'm guessing the prints are a bit sus at this point? On the plus side, I just crumbled a bag of Ho'o to a shoebox so hopefully more and cleaner prints are in my future.

I depends sometimes it only takes a few sometimes I have to go back to ms several times especially since I have to take spore production into account as well
