That’s odd they didn’t do anything. I’ve been doing sterilized manure spawn for pans cause it’s been working better than grain for me. I noticed when I’ve done field capacity they don’t colonize well so I’ve been squeezing the fuck out of the manure and loading em pretty dry. Obviously not bone dry but damp and they colonize a lot better. Maybe it was too wet?

I spawned these 4 shoe boxes of Pan Cyan Peace River on the 15th. Three of them look about how I'd expect them to. But the fourth is growing thick dense fluffy stuff. Is this a fast, dense pan mycelium? Or is it contaminated?

It looks like Pan mycelium to me, but others who have grown more pans than me would probably know better. To me it looks very similar to the mycelium I would see when I was trying to isolate pseudo-stones with Pan Cyan months ago.

Noticed some pan cinctulus in the bottom of a trashcan FC outside. Hopefully I can get the suckers to print!

I could be wrong, I've only viewed pictures of them, never IRL. There are cinct sub's in there though. How about this pic from yesterday?

Hmmm that still really doesn’t look like a cint to me, there’s way too much striation on the cap.
I can’t ID it unfortunately, but you could try making a thread on the identification forum, there’s posters on there who’ll probably know

Does anyone know why substrates with manure seem to work better than something like just coir? Is it a nutrient thing? It seems like the spawn alone would have enough nutes to go through fruiting.

The pics of the pans in shoeboxes that are in your sig -- are they floating on water because you're going to flush or was that how you grew them? I've searched through some of your posts, but didn't see the cultivation used for those grows.
Beautiful grows.
Many thanks!

I was thinking of doing hpoo spawn since there is a ton of free organic-fed, aged hpoo near where I live. Are you saturating, pc'ing, then adding agar?
I saw this poo tek that seemed interesting... https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/5718812#Post5718812

Your fourth tub looks fine to me. That's how probably 60-70% of the pans I grow end up looking once they are fully colonized.

This is my 'best' looking BVI plate rn.

Good enough to transfer from and try and get some plates going for a run you guys think?

I wish but this plate I can barely see through even without the camera. Also I suck at taking agar pics. Three years into this and that hasn't improved one bit. Sorry for that! Thanks for trying though
Only sometimes I have crystal clear plates and I haven't been able to consistently pull those off
I'll have to go by my own judgement then so it's a go

Maybe someone can help here. I am assuming I'd have to transfer from syringe to agar but wanted to see if there had any input. Thanks in advance.
