RDU, West Coast and Thai Suphan Buri clone spores have germinated after 8-10 days
on 1% LME agar with temps at around 60F (15C). This is the West Coast plate:

NecD and Bunnell are still dormant.

Very stoked to work with new genetic material. Will take extra time and care with
those and by the time temperatures are high enough to grow I will hopefully have a
few nice LCs ready to go.

That is a also good to hear Adas!. I'll make 4 flowerpots with this species. I initially thought about adding them to existing planters. However, I have 2 big highly poisonous oleanders in one planter and the other used to have oleanders in there too; leaves and decaying root system are still there, the soil must be pretty toxic.. not sure if the poisons are aborbed into the fruitbodies.

No. You're good, that won't happen. Otherwise people would be getting poisoned by wild mushrooms all the time.

I was reading an old thread saying you don’t need to pasteurize the casing for pans, is this outdated info or still valid?

I find this question interesting. Why don’t you go ahead and find out? Go ahead and put in the work to get a clean quart jar, spawn it to a substrate that probably took some elbow grease to make and case it with an unpasteurized casing layer. If you can’t tell, I’m being facetious.

Trip report:

This has been such a lovely experience with Panaeolus Bisporus 💕

Very clear and smooth transition from sober to peak. This is the type of experience I was looking for. Amazing visuals. I’m coming down now, the afterburner is nice ^__^ bout to go smoke some swishers under the full moon

Glad you've enjoyed buddy! That smoothness has been my experience as well. How about the visuals? I feel like nothing comes close to Bisporus. Maybe Cyans but it's still a large difference.

Frank, it is necessary in my experience. Just take a bunch of potting soil, add CaCO3 and cover it with water, properly pasteurize, squeeze the water out and store it. I've finally started doing it the proper way recently and it's night and day. You can store it and not worry about contams.

Heard from my friend again (the one who took the Bispos a few weeks back, and who's trip reported I summarized here). Yesterday he took another 2g dose, but last time he took some E with it. This time he only took the 2g of bispos and he reported a similar experience - visuals unlike anything he had seen, with objects that weren't really there that he could actually touch and interact with.

I can't wait to try these things. Just been so busy with life that it's been impossible to get a solid day to myself where all my responsibilities are completed, and I can just trip.

Holy shit that is nuts! I've never heard of that happening on mushrooms!

I have finally collected more than a gram dry, so once I finish my degree I will give myself a treat! :mushroom2:

I agree the visuals here were some of the most impressive visuals I’ve had to date. Only my 7g and up cubensis doses have compared

I was in my living room with the lights dimmed. The air itself was saturated with color and throughout my field of vision were kaleidoscopes and these interesting crystalline psychedelic structures that seemed to be “sentient”. They sort of looked like dragon fly wings, but more complex and just psychedelic. At times my entire field of vision would be this. These things would dissolve into thin air sometimes and then come back when I was relaxed and paying attention to how I felt. When they would come back fully they really did resemble an actual like “being” and would come up close to me face to face but then when I noticed and looked at them they would retreat

The CEVs were something else as well. It looked like what I would imagine my neurological network to look like from the perspective of being in a tiny tiny spaceship or something.

Also the experience was very therapeutic. I was able to recall some traumatic memories I had forgotten. While recalling the memories and basically traveling through them as if I were time traveling, I kept getting brain zaps. They actually felt really good though. I got the impression that my neurological network was repairing itself. Previously I had sequestered that section of neurons that represented the traumatic experience and going through it during the bisporus trip re-engaged that part of my neurological network and put it “back online”

I think I know what your friend saw! No way to really know, but I think the psychedelic crystalline structures I saw may have been what your friend saw as well. I’ve seen stuff like this when using my dmt pen while on mushrooms, but to see it from the mushrooms alone is rare

I just pour boiling water over cactus mix and let sit a day.  I guess that's kinda like pasteurized?

Pan cyan 'Alabama' tub 1, 3rd flush, harvested about a day late. Some nice sized caps for printing though.

I'm thinking of doing small batches of honey from each of the grows. Some Alabama honey, bisporus, cincts and hopefully more.

Now I just need some time for testing.

I've prepped sterilized casing.. a well, beter pasteurize then next time.
Anyways.. I need you all to send me some good vibes people.

First two pan dishes are ready to go. It was a real pain in the but, my SAB is just to small for this kind of work. Probably was not sterile at all.. due to the bag moving and pushing air around.. but I did spray down everything and tried my best to work as clean as possible. Next time I'll be using smaller bags.

---

The other jars with grain are colonizing fast due to the large amount of wedges used.. this is 5,5 days.. I think it will be ready by friday

That's amazing! On my last trip with Bisporus it was still bright outside, and my CEVs looked like they were being assembled using thousands of very thin colorful wires. Words don't do it justice ofc but it looked way cooler than you can probably imagine.

Trip report:

I took 1.57 dry pan bisporus(was planning 2.0 but chickened out).

I wish I'd taken more but it was really pleasant. The come up was super smooth, no negative feelings this time.

There was a lot of "drifting" into a semi conscious state- this may be due to it being late and me being tired.

There were waves of euphoria and some pleasant body vibes as well.

Visuals were pretty cool. The television got a 3d effect with "whispiness" coming out.

I think my next trip will be 3g with these.

Hey guys! I'm back with another set of plate pictures and  questions.

These plates are Pan Cyan Peace River. I took my second round of transfer from these plates last night. I marked where I took the transfers.

If I read correctly, the first plate is actually my best culture? It's growing fast and thin, mycelium fast not mold fast. The other plates are thicker. I'm used to cubes, so I was thinking the thicker cultures woud be more likely to show rhizo. But Then I read last night that pan cyan doesn't go rhizo. The last two, smaller cultures are newer transfers from a new germination plate. I just wanted to, hopefully, get some confirmation on this from some experienced pan growers.

First pic looks best but all look like fine pan mycelium to me. Might want to do one more transfer on all plates except the first though.

Beautifull fruits agam! I was looking into your grows as I was struggling in the SAB with a bag of substrate and grains.. maybe I'll skip the grains partially, just using them to test a LC culture for contamination and also inject directly into the bag. Do you still do things the same way?
