Thanks for the kick in the pants! I have taken your counsel and put them all to agar. If none of it works, I have some newer prints I could use.
I need to stop treating everything like it's precious. It is a habit that doesn't serve me in this hobby.

Current recipe: 300ml bottled water 6g agar 2g instant mashed potato flakes 1.5g light malt extract
What's the reason for running potato flakes and LME? Maybe try a really simple, uncoloured mix. 300ml water//6g agar//5-6g LME?
No particular reason lol. I just wanted to be fancy. Gonna do, 300ml water, 6g agar, 5g LME, and no food coloring this time.

Can you show a photo of your FC showing the whole thing incl. the hole set up?
Bottom holes completely open sounds fine but I would put 1 to 2 layers of micropore tape over the top holes, to restrict air flow at the top. That way you will reduce the chimney effect and have a reservoir of moist air hovering above your substrate.
Your surface moisture and caps are looking good, moist enough to allow misting by the sound of it, if they wouldn't like it then you'd know within a day.
Indirect misting once a day and no fanning to start with seems like a good middle ground. Then watch your surface and cap moisture for a while and adjust accordingly. I'm not doing trays on perlite but fully subbed monos and usually I mist for the first 3 days of fruiting and leave it be for a few days before giving more and it works for my situation but YMMV.
Don't worry about CO2 accumulating in your tub, FAE is taking care of it.
Have a look at the first link in my sig which is how I do tubs atm.
Here it is. Will tape the top holes (all of them?):

What's looking funky. The one on right I don't care for. Left is clear and just one nice glob of myc. I think the particulates is grain chaff.

maybe its just cos I'm used to clear LME broths with little sediment. On second look, you're right, the left hand one looks ok

Yes, if you would give me your set up and say make this work then I would start by taping up the top holes on the long sides with masking tape to shut them completely and the ones on the short side would get a double layer of micropore. This is based on the experience I had with my tubs. Not sure if this will give you a big improvement now since the trays are already fruiting for a few days but maybe try this right at the start of fruiting the trays next time. Some restricted FAE during colonization is also worthwhile trying.
Will probably take a few runs of dialing things in.

I would wait till I see some spores depositing on ~30% of the caps, they will be ready to print then as well.

Baba Yaga, what do you think? To harvest the ones that "opened up" at least? Pans dont have veils and I am not sure when to pick them. I think they didnt drop spores yet at all.
Also, how long to put these in dehydrator? I do my cubes for some 16-20 hours and these are much thiner, dont want them to vanish completely:)

Those are looking nice.
Well you can harvest now if you like but the caps do flatten out more if you wait. They wont gain much more weight but you'll get bigger prints that way. Harvest a few and see if they do print alright. Let some go a day or two longer?
You are right, they dehydrate easily, I give them between 4-8 hrs in the dehydrator depending on the load and fruit size, just a few fruits might get there earlier, they are done when the part where the stem attaches to the cap is not bendy anymore and snaps off.

Are they always this small? Saw your thread (exceptional work by the way), yours are waay bigger than mine. But size doesnt matter, she said🙂

3-4" (7.5-10cm) is pretty common but they can be very small sometimes.
Wait a bit longer and see if they getting bigger, photos below are showing growth over 48hrs

I'm still getting surprised sometimes when thinking they are done but can't get around to harvest. Waiting for the spore drop as said before is a good telltale though.

I use my dehydrator as hot as it goes, around 155 degrees F, or 68 degrees C. Mine will take up to 2 hours if they are thick, as little as 1 hour if they are skinny.
I think my fruits are better dry than fresh, so I don't believe that amount of heat hurts the potency at all. That's my 2 cents.

Pretty sure the plates I swabbed with the 2-year old prints germinated only contam and no actual pan myc. All 8 plates have similar-looking germination spots after only ~70 hours (inoculated 17 Feb). Some have a darker central spot, some don't. I'm going to give it a few days to see if I'm wrong, but I have a feeling I'll be tossing these and starting again with different prints and extra attention paid to sanitary practice.
Am I being too hasty? It's been a while since I worked with pans on agar.
