I love it when the stems start to explode like on that fat one in the center.

Yup I think that is the one I grew out and referred to as "Mystery Coast". You sent me a print of an unidentified Pan that you'd found in the beach dunes. It grew very slowly and when it finally fruited it had that same very unique cap markings - (stripes going out radially to the edge from the crown) and some of the more seasoned growers around here mentioned that it looked a bit like a mexicana.

Double post again... couldn't help myself when I saw the contrast.
My first Wild Coast grow:

My second Wilder Coast grow:

(Mushfolk be sayin' - I want some of that guy's hpoo man!)
To be honest, while they were kind of cool to look at - they were a pain in the ass to harvest! My first grow they were so straight and consistent and evenly spaced I could easily clip them out in nice orderly bunches and place them in the dehydrator that way.

I have found the selection of MS culture is really important with pans. It seems to be luck of the draw, as I had a culture of PHV grow similar to these wilder coast (great nickname!). They were a pain to harvest too, although I didn't have as many. Meanwhile, other cultures taken from the same germ plate produced normal fruit.
I had a clone culture sector out on agar, and since I didn't know which one to take, I grew out each one. One of the cultures would colonize (poorly), but wouldn't even get knots nor pins. Two of the cultures fruited ok, and one of them routinely grew some large fruits.
I also noticed the vigor and ability to produce yields diminish after transferring on agar an excessive number of times.
When it comes to pans, the culture you end up with is critical to success, and I think it requires not only some skill, but luck too. I've learned to play those odds by using the numbers to my advantage.
Don't make just one germ plate, make 3. Don't take just 1 or 2 transfers, take several or more. In addition to a better chance of finding a great culture, the added repetition gives you more practice to hone your skills.

Those look like zaps or mexs. I suck at IDing but that frilly stem is really strange for pans (never seen that in the wild). Gorgeous either way!
Bah more failed pan cyan grains. I'm starting to think past success was beginners luck.

Idk how many species of pans exhibit the striations on the cap but this is panaeolus cinctulus "blue pearls". I thought it looked more like a psilocybe.

Noob question: which part of these pans should I take a tissue sample from to clone on agar? I think they're cinctulus or olivaceus.

I'm pretty sure this is a pic of my pans in pancakes. First sign of life on substrate.
