If I don’t have my preferred manure and I’m stuck using something more dense I will reduce to 2 inches however I now have a endless supply of my preferred manure so I run them around 2 1/2 to 3 inches (6.25-7.63cm)

Well damn! I've been thinking 1-2", with 1.5" being ideal, is the ticket so that's what I've been using (and usually closer to 1.25"). I also thought that using baking trays that allowed the sub to be flush was ideal for max evaporation (IE no microclimate created by having tub walls higher than the substrate surface level). But clearly your results show otherwise.
I'll try switching my trays out to 6" high tubs and then use a 6" substrate depth on my next grows and see what happens.

I've been sticking with 2", (5.08 cm), which is why I thought the cake trays were perfect. I like the glass over plastic for transparency, so I can spot green easier, and I can safely sanitize the glass trays in the oven where plastic might melt.
After acquiring all of these trays, I now learn I might be missing out, and these are too shallow for any deeper substrate. My next test might be a different tray and deeper substrate!

You don’t have to sterilize the trays the plastic trays work just fine just wipe them down well with alcohol before you load them

Panaeolus cyanescens Florida Bunnell. Conducted a trial growth using the technology proposed Baba Yaga. Panaeolus in Mono Tubs They grow on coconut mixed with manure and grain. From above, the cover is the ground. The temperature in the room is 24 degrees Celsius. The holes of the monotube are covered with a cloth and did not open all the time of growth. They grow slower than in a greenhouse with a compressor. They have a yellowish tint.I expect hats to be revealed tomorrow.

Thank you for your kind words! Since my stay on this forum, I have acquired and continue to absorb enormous knowledge about mushroom cultivation. Many varieties of panaeolus have come to Russia. And more and more people are cultivating it.

Hey angam, thanks for giving this a go, only have Pan Cambo Thai Suphan Buri and I'm really interested in how other pans doing in tubs.
That looks pretty good to me. The yellow tinge seems to indicate that the caps are a bit dry, my outdoor fruits looked like this. You could try and tape up 1/2 or 2/3 of the top holes to restrict airflow and trap the humid air in there, that's what I do and maybe keep the surface a bit wetter but I can't really see how wet it is at the moment.
Exciting! Thanks again!
Update on the poorly recovered spawn:
Tubs are fully colonized after 6 days and first knots are showing on the bigger tub, again these knots are developing near the surface. Will case and increase FAE on the bigger tub tomorrow, the smaller one is a day or so behind.
Surface is looking good.

And welcome back Coversall! I was asking myself the other day how you were doing.

When I have a tray get some green, it inevitably makes it's way to the glass. Those are the trays that I don't trust soap and water alone. I'm not trying to sterilize anything, more like using pasteurizing temperatures instead of chemical dish sanitizers.
Edit: The plastic trays have their own lids, which would be way easier than using foil lids during colonization, and alcohol would be way faster than the oven, and the plastic trays have more surface area in addition to more volume. Now I can't wait to try one out!

I misinformed you about a growing mushroom, it wasn't Panaeolus cyanescens Florida Bunnell, only today, collecting mushrooms in appearance, I realized that I had grown Panaeolus Goliath. It's probably mushroom insanity. Bunnell they grow in a neighboring greenhouse, later I will show their growth. But I'm still happy with the result.
