WOW! Those are meaty! PHV is what I've had the most success with, but they weren't as thick as yours. I'm jealous of your clone candidate!

nec d i'm in the process of cloning the big guy right now. just spawned to sub my clone earlier today. it produced a real pretty red print!

thanks ruawakeyet, i can't wait to see how it performs.

do everyone here who get PHV finish with red spore australians? PHV should have black/purple I guess. I really think that is only my special case )

My PHV has purple spores. You can kind of tell when they drop on glass or plastic, but they are SUPER purple under a scope. (I need stronger magnification than what I have access to, but it was still very obvious.) My mutants were the only exception, they looked sporeless to me. Nothing ever accumulated under them or on other caps.

Is the big guy from, or are there any clusters? Pretty fruits.

gt40 i'm about to start printing but it doesn't look like mine will be dropping purple spores, at least not this flush.
modularmind, there weren't any actual clusters on that flush. the flush itself wasn't amazing but they're was plenty to harvest and to clone hunt. about to see how well this clone performs.

Holy fuck guys, look at this dense Rainbow Eucalyptus Pan-cheese!

Insanely aggressive, even more than my FL Cyans. Can't wait to see the fruiting!
The substrate is fermented grass clippings, sawdust and horse shit. Mind you the shit and grass were NOT leeched! Just pasteurized the sub and let it sit for a couple weeks before using.
Gonna be good!

Nice Adas - I have one tray of Rainbow that I just spawned to last night so we should be fruiting around the same time. I noted the plate it was on was very aggressive and the mycelium looked fantastic, and it colonized my oat jar in just 12 days which, given all the issues I have been having with grain jars, is very remarkable. I'll post some pics when it starts fuzzing up. I just used chopped straw and dried hpoo, pasteurized 12 hours in the Instapot.
Oh yeah, my test of manure oats vs regular oats didn't reveal anything. Both jars colonized at exactly the same speed. I added 1/4c of dried manure to the boiling water of 1 jar of grains, and another jar of grains I just did in pure water. Took one plate and put half of it in one jar and half in the other. Both finished on the same day. Variety was NecD for that experiment.

After some beginner's luck, it's been 100% failure for me. I will continue with some gourmets, but I'm too pissed to continue wasting time with pans. I just wanted to let everyone know why I'm disappearing. Thank you everyone for some great interaction.

Stick with it Rua.... I was about to give up too once my Pan Cyan beginner's luck ran out and I couldn't get a single fucking grain jar to fully consolidate, but things have been slowly turning around for me. It'll turn around for you as well. Don't be afraid to ask for help...... I probably can't give it to you but there are many here who can.

I really hope so! This year I'm using non leached manure as well, I picked it up and have it in buckets under the porch, got lots of critters and larvae in there.
Just cased 3 tubs today, one with 50/50, one with verm and one with coir, just trying out a different fruiting regime where I blast the tubs with lots of FAE for 24 hrs to signal the sub that it has reached the point where it's time to switch into fruiting mode and then I will restrict FAE a bit and start with the heavy misting. The second photo is the 4th tub which hangs behind a bit, will leave that one for another couple of days. Trying out some new smaller 8 quart tubs as well...better for testing stuff with just half a quart of spawn.

Those are not my clones though but they are almost ready, starting LCs soon. Well lets see how this turns out, I'm in here for the fun and got a box full of mush in the pantry. I'm so glad that I got to the stage where I don't care too much anymore.
Having said that....hey ruawakeyet, after my last break I lost my first few tubs to schizophyllum commune and then I had a run in with the mean green but I don't care, I just keep having fun doing the do. I hope to see you back here brother but edibles are awesome too, once I'll have a green house I'll abandon the magic side as well for a while.

My Nec-D and Peace River FL are throwing some nice fruits. Not a ton of them. But enough to clone. The casings got super wet due to my condensation issue in the JCM FC. I figured that out with an angled lid, so I'm hoping the next flushes will be a bit more even and plentiful. We'll see...
I just updated my grow log of these guys here: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/27468308

That's an awesome looking flush.
Question for you all: How long are you generally letting your trays consolidate, after they reach 100% consolidation but before you case them and put them to fruiting?

Holy shit man. If you have any aspirations to grow a ton of pans I’d be taking a lot of clones. That cluster is wild imagine a whole tray of that.

How long does a pasteurized manure based sub stay healthy?
I made up a little too much, it's been in a ziplock over a week now. Will probably be 2 weeks old by the time I use it.
Should I re-pasteurize or is it still good to go?
Side note - I got an odor absorber from home depot. It works great- 90% less ass in my space. Totally worth $4
Thanks!

I have the same question for 50/50+ casing how long is that good? I have some I made 14 days ago and I have a little container of Jambos that needs to be cased. Am I good to go?
