It took me a month but I finally read through this entire thread from the start. Thanks everyone for sharing their results and experiences. Excited to begin participating.
Relatively new to the site but not to the hobby. I unfortunately got a pan Hawaiian syringe instead of print and had trouble germinating on agar. It took off on LC though so I have transferred back to agar and am waiting now.

Welcome to the thread! Good luck with the LC, I hope it turns out clean, as I'm sure you know spores -> LC isn't the best route to take, but it can work.
You could think about germinating the spore syringe on a BRF puck and taking some myc from that and putting to agar. There are creative ways of getting syringes to start!

Thanks! Totally agree. I had started some cakes as well. Probably end up getting some prints anyway. After reading the thread the NecD sounds badass. Wish I had picked that up instead

All pans (and mushrooms for that matter) are bad ass!
What cake mix did you use?

Nice! I look forward to how they turn out! What was the water content?
I've been growing on 1 part manure, 1 part brf, 1 part verm, 1 part water, 0.5 part straw, and a pinch of gypsum.

Will have to try that one next time. Thanks. I just went by feel for field capacity on the water. It seemed heavy on the straw but will see how it goes. Since I started with a SS I’d be happy if anything took off. Prints only from here on out

nice! you going to fruit the cakes themselves?
I've been thinking about trying to use the cakes as spawn just for fun, got a pan cyan central florida culture going that looks almost ready for LC which I might try that with.

Nice I’m sure that would work.
I plan to take some myc to agar and fruit the cakes. I have a tub with a humidifier and fan with timers for FC.

Something I've felt many times after taking a strong dose of the fruits of our efforts, is the sense that we come and go but we find our way back again. Hard to explain, but I have you and yours in my thoughts. Take your time

i also agree 100%
i believe the truth of the matter is that we are all only etheral beings pretending to be humans. our energy/soul/spirit or whatever word you wish to use never really dies. it only reincarnates as many times as it takes for it to free its self from having to continue to experience things in order to realize what the truth of everything really is and what this whole entire living conscious experience is all about. once it realizes that we are all eternal conscious energy and that the physical body is mearley only a container and a tool to experience things and learn in. once it realizes that it can travel anywhere or be with anyone or anything it wishes at any given moment in time be it past present or future that it will finally be free and no longer have to incarnate in a physical form in order to have to have those experiences and to learn those lessons. we are all just an action within the one true consciousness of the universe and we are all a fractal piece of that one true consciousness simply experiencing its self and things subjectively. i find comfort in thinking maybe he finally realized that and is now truely free and at peace. i also find comfort in knowing hes part of me,you and everyone and everything else and always will be. i really do appreciate all of the kindness from this community it truely means alot to me. so i sincerely thank all of you and ond behalf of my family they thank you all also🙏🏻

I get that feeling a lot also.
That life is some sort of teaching tool or a way to experience things not possible in our original form.
One of my favorite bits of tv is rick and morty where they go to the arcade and play that game where you plug in and when it starts you’re born as a baby with no memory of your real life or the fact you’re in a game.

Heyo Pan crew! I just put my little Pan bottles in the FC. Quick question, how hot is too hot for Pans? Trying to get everything dialed in but my fish tank heater is... Imprecise. I have a Bluetooth thermometer/hygrometer but it's a bit too wet in there for it.

Most say above 85F isn't ideal. But if you think about where they grow, especially places like Florida, it gets into the low 90's. I think they would be pretty heat tolerant into the 90's so long as you had enough humidity. I run mine around 78 but the temp gets pulled down to around 74 for a couple minutes during vaporization and then again during venting. I think the risk with going into the mid-upper 80's and beyond is just that it provides more favorable conditions for contamination, even if the pans themselves can handle the temps.
