I believe they are faster to explore and you can identify healthier growth easier.
I always work low as it's more likely to rhizo IME (not pans), plus I'm cheap.

I just had some Cambos dry to 5.9% pretty constantly. Last spring grow they dried to 5.somehting too.
Pins/dwarf fruits seems to dry closer to 8% tho.

Second flush on Florida Gulf Coast is looking to be about 50x better than the first flush. First flush only had like 8 or 9 fruits. This pinset is nothing remarkable and I have a long way to go but it is encouraging to see it come in better on the second flush.

Do you guys have way more issues with contams on pan cyans during all phases, from agar to trays? Because for me it has been 100x worse than cubes. Especially with agar. I've rarely had contam issues with cubes on agar, but it seems extremely common with pans, as if pans are more susceptible to hitch-hiking mold spores on spore prints or something. Look at these MS plates - just filthy! I transferred off of them early and was able to get what I believe were some clean T1s or T2s off of some of them but some others I can't outrun the contams.

Here's a T1 showing the kind of contam that appears very common in my pan plates:

Yeah they’re definitely super sensitive, I’ve seen a lot of weird shit on plates.
It looks like you might need to raise the humidity on that tray a little judging by the caps on the mature fruits.

Oh really? Thank you for that! I am very much still trying to dial the tent conditions in. What about the caps is giving you that indication? The way I have been trying to dial in my cycles is to play with the duration of humidity, and the duration of dry air, and I base where my cycles should be on how moist the casing layer is. I don't want it drying out and I don't want it flooding - trying to find that middle point is difficult but I think I'm really close... but maybe you think it's too dry in there?

Just the way the mature ones are looking kind of dried out on the caps.
The way I dial in pans now is to go too far on the wet side initially and then slowly bring it down. They don’t really mind being flooded for a minute but getting too dry can really slow things down.
It might just be the genetics making them look like that though, I’m still not that great with pans.

Jakes trays never get old, fuckin beautiful. Are they clones?
Got some 3rd flush Wild Coast doing pretty good. I cloned the big one and the wavy cap right next to it. Wasn't planning to clone anything from this grow, but they looked too good to pass up. First time cloning pans, definitely a lot more difficult than cubes with thick stems, but hopefully I got something clean.

How is this looking? Its been in the chamber for about 5 days. I am worried that it is too high of a RH. I don't have a way to test it but casing looks overly wet to me. Temps sitting between 77-81. This is my first time doing anything thing besides shoebox cubes.

I would say the surface looks spot on from what I can see on that close up photo. I would be happy with it.
Keeping mine pretty moist

Have you left your sub to consolidate after full colonization?

Yea, the first 3 where spawned from jars to trays for about 8-9 days. Then cased and let set for a few days until I saw it breaking the casing. About 4-5 days. Now its been in fruiting for about 5 days. The last one on the right is about a week behind the others.

Am I fucked with these Pans? Pictures from 2 different tubs and 2 different trays.
End of day 7 on the trays and 6 on the tubs. Should I spray peroxide prior to casing it?

I don't know if you saw my reply I just posted in the other thread:
I would just case and see what is going to happen, you came that far and throwing a layer of 50/50 on won't break the bank and it won't take long to show whats going on so there is not much to loose.
