I assume the Ipower timers are made in the same place as the BN Link timers, just with a different printing. They look exactly the same, but maybe the BN Link brand works better.
I'm currently testing without a separate heater/fan for the evap cycle. One timer works ok by itself, as I'm not trying to sync it to another. I'll see what happens with the fogger alone.
Gt40, thanks for the recommendation, but that's out of my price range. That would work well, though!
Bagga, I would avoid that area where the arrow is, but transfer some sectors from anywhere else. The rest of the myc looks good to me, but I would wait to see how the transfers grow out before using them.

Got it, thanks Rauwakeyet.
Re: timers I'm currently messing with Google assistant routines and cheap smartplugs.
You can nest run x for x minutes commands within structured routines. I'm experimenting with more complex instructions, not sure if it's feasible yet.
Have you tried software solution?

This won't help folks who don't have the same voltage, but I am running two of these:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B086DN9QT3
I have everything setup the way JOC describes in his pan tek. One timer controls the humidifier and the other timer controls the exhaust fan that pulls dry room air into the tent and pushes the humidified air out. I put them on cycles and am playing around with the cycles to try to get to the ideal point where I'm getting enough evaporation of the casing to stimulate pin formation, and then putting enough moisture back into the casing to rehydrate what was lost from evaporation and consumed by the mycelium. It's TOUGH to find that perfect cycle, especially when trays are in different stages. I keep either flooding the trays or I find they are drying out, and that's with just 60 second adjustments each time. I may go down to 30 second adjustments.
The cycles are: Humidify -> Rest (in the humidified air) -> Vent -> Rest (in the dry air)
Right now I have it set to 3, 3, 3, 2 - So the humidifier pumps the tent with ultrasonic fog for 3 minutes, then the fog rests in there for 3 mins causing some absorption into the substrate, then the vent fan runs for 3 mins pulling dry room air in and pushing the humid air out, then the tent sits in the dry air for 2 more mins until the cycle repeats again.
When I make adjustments to the cycle, I can adjust any of those four stages. The timers allow for second, minute, or hour adjustments and have different types of programs they can run but I just use the x seconds on, y seconds off, repeat timer. The only annoying part about this setup and using these timers is that I have to sit there for 5 or so minutes every time I make an adjustment because I have to wait for the first two cycles (humidify and rest) to complete before I hit the start button on the second timer. Longest 5 minutes of my life lol, and I can't work on other things or I forget to go and start the second timer.

Hindsight, you are so right about setting the timers. I try to multi-task and usually end up forgetting so I have to start all over and try again. I end up using 2 or 3 count up/ count down kitchen timers to help track durations and remind me. I hope I can make this setup work without using the additional heater/fan. It is so much easier not worrying about syncing them. If it works I will share...
Doobsker, nice work!
savan73, I don't have any experience with BRF agar and pans, but I would imagine it would work. Plain ol' MEA has worked best for me, but I've also used oatmeal agar, PDA, and JakeOncid inspired agar. (Not exact recipe, but close, with lower amounts of ingredients used.)
I would try it and share the results. I think it will be important to know how to use different resources to make agar because we might not always have our regular ingredients available.

Is there any specific causes for caps that turn concave? Like too much or not enough humidity or something else? Or is it more genetic?

Like when the edges roll up?
IME it's genetic as some pans have done it and some haven't under exactly the same growing conditions. Well as close as I can get them with my set up, same agar, same LC, same growth medium, same fruiting conditions.

Has anyone tried both cambos and cyans? Which one did you prefer and why? Have space for a pans grow but don't know which to choose

Yeah like in the first photo below, especially the fruit on the bottom left. Since I'm new to pans and am still trying to dial in my fruiting chamber conditions, I'm always looking out for visual indicators that will help me properly adjust the conditions. But I guess cap curling isn't it.

On another topic, the outdoor bed is doing great now that the cold snap has passed. I might get a few more weeks out of it if I'm lucky. Next year during the warm season, I'll probably grow more outdoors than indoors since it's just so easy.

I’ve only run one of each type. The Cambos were more aggressive and pinned easier but they both did great. Only thing is Cambos dry super light but pans are so strong that’s not a problem really.

I thought so. I only tried the cyans once at a lower dose but my friends that I gave them to said they were the strongest mushrooms they’d ever had.
It is a little disappointing when you take 80g of wet Cambos and they dry to like 4g though

guys, I want to put a intake fan to small grow room. Which position is better top or bottom? Air is warmer near ceiling, so top position will help to deliver warmer air inside which is good.
At the same time bottom is colder and maintain more humidity which equals less evaporation. Pulling dry air from the bottom will be more direct to that area and I guess help to evaporate more. Which way is more balanced?
