Wild coast red spore pinning. I don't know what it is about this grow but I've just got a feeling of uneasiness about it. I haven't been around through out the fruiting process which I think is part of it.
And for some reason the casing has been way wetter than normal so not sure what is up with that. Either way got some pins coming up on day 4 of fruiting which is pretty fast!
I'd be interested to see whether I get a decent harvest off of these pots though. Hopefully a clone to carry forward!
Is that second image being crazy for anyone else? Only a small bar at the top is loading this end, the rest of the image doesn't seem to want to show.
Reuploaded and it seems to be fine now.

covers, all of my red spore grows were pretty low yield. But nice fruits. Still narrowing the genetics on this one.

Oh interesting! Thanks for the heads up! Yeah the pins coming through look nice and chunky, so I'm excited to see them fully grown!
Also, how wet is too wet, I'm not sure why but my casing has been so wet I have been able to pour the water off it. More than usual. I'm not sure why as I've changed nothing about my approach.

It's just going to depend on conditions so that should be variable. In my current grow, I have the RH at 93-94% and I am still hand watering 2x a day. I am absolutely soaking the casing and it's still evaporating off at a good rate.
Too much is going to be if it's collecting on the side or pooling at the bottom.

It's really annoying as I'm not in the same place as my grow at the moment, but I should be able to check up on it later. I'll have a look at the pots and check the water isn't pooling.

Took some T2's of the Wild Coast. Transfer from the first plate is probably trash and the last is what I should be looking for, right?

1st might break down a little easier to differentiate. You'll know on those next plates how it's looking.
That's just nutritional yeast everywhere?

Sweet, yeah I figured I'd put each of these T2's to grain minus any that are clearly bad.
Yes that is yeast

Do pan cyan agar plates store ok in the fridge for a few months like cubes? I surprisingly couldn't find the answer in a search. I store cube plats in the fridge just fine but I know pan cyans like higher grow temps than cubes so am worried the fridge would kill the mycelium on the plate.

It is hit or miss on pan plates in the fridge, according to the info in this thread.
While some have reported lost plates from the cold, JCM has solid success with long term master culture storage in a fridge. However, IIRC, he uses a separate fridge that is a little warmer than most kitchen fridges, I think it was around 45 degrees F. He also stores the cultures in a cooler, in the fridge, to combat temperature fluctuation and condensation.

Streaked some jambo spores the other day. Sooo quick. Less than a week and I’m on t2.
