Panaeolus Australia..

I was a bit skeptical about these jars due to the appearance of the mycelium.  I know for a fact that it isn't cobweb because I don't see any gray nor do I see any black specs that cobweb mold is notorious for.  After some on-line browsing I found a growlog/thread in the panaeolus section by Nimbus. His Pan Aussie jars look exactly as mine do now so I feel a bit at easy regarding tht.  Still baffles me because I'm not accustomed to seeing pan mycelium like tht. It's always been tomentose.. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

My Pan Cam jars look off to me in a bacterial kind of way so I'm not going even going to attempt to g2g/spawn them due to the fact that I'm afraid of wasted time, so I'm going to do the wise thing and take it back to agar.

Pan Viets are looking hella rhizo, a little too rhizo. Kinda unnerving rly.. I hope I didn't mislabel it somehow. Although tht would be hilarious.
But I shook them in the middle of the night at about 30% colonization.

I've seen this growth from bisporus too

It was from this thread https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/21020424

Especially when it was on grain & when spawned too

Not bacterial. There's no metabolites nor is there any smell.
Tht condensation you see in the jar is from the temperature difference from within the jar compared to outside the jar. Inside a colonizing jar is atleast 5°F hotter than the exterior of the jar.

Yep looks so, pan cyans have kind of a cottony look.

Finally feel like dropping some spore solution of 3 different types of Pan (Australia, Jamaica & Golaith) on 3 diff agar plates, wish me luck.. lol

Would of been easier if they were prints, oh well.

Heyyyy. I was just looking through my less than 10 collection of spore prints... didn't realize I had something called "pan Goliath"

Anyone know anything about these? I've never tried exotics, but would love to if it's possible for a somewhat noob to do. I'm pretty smart, grown cubes a lot of times at this point.... got some agar going to eat clean spawn, are Pans extremely difficult compared to cubes?

Today's payday so tomorrow I'm going to be able to afford to buy two more boxes of mini rounds to make 16 more plates.

Man. I don't see myself not making a run of pasty plates per week. Maybe it's the newness to the agar and excitement that has me keep making more. Maybe I'm just bored.

Anyone's else have this "issue"?

Pans huh. They look really pretty. I think I've read they're more potent?

Just checked on these Pan cambo Goliath.  I'm so excited....  The middle one definitely has a contamination, but I'm sure I can transfer away from that.

Now what?  Should I drop the left one and the right one straight to grain?  I've had a handful of failures, so I don't want to mess this up again.
