It looks bacterial as fuck. If you spawn it, it will probably be a waste of time. Edit: ups, was way to slow π

They look mostly ok, but why did you transfer the whole colony?

They were in a trichotomized petri and there was another slower culture next to them I had to take them in their own safe space before they touched hands.

First time growing pans. Went from spores to rye to HP-straw, and let that colonize in bags. Broke it up 5 days ago in to trays and let it consolidate. This is what it looks like now:

It looks and smells healthy but has a bit of a blueish hue to it. Is that normal? Cased:
I think I'll store it again for 24 hours and then start fruiting conditions.

Hi Wrightii,
Sorry, I'm not qualified to answer your question. I'll leave that for someone who is.
Did you happen to swab any spores to agar yet? If not, I recommend starting to clean up some cultures and isolating on agar while your MS is in fruiting conditions.
Best of luck!

ππ i left for my brothers the other day after casing and i just got home to see shit pinned and shot up a few fruits fast as hell around the edges where the tiny gap is from the sub shrinkin a tadππ thats the only bad thing about these trays sometimes. they can be pretty flimsy and the slightest movement can pull the tray from the sub and leave a tiny gap. but i can already tell these trays are gnna blow up in a few more days. i just thought u guys could get a laugh outta how they side pinned all the way around like that.

i may give that a go. i always get shit on the sides b4 the top cuz of the flimsy trays pull away easy as hell and then add a tiny bit of shrinkage it happens almost every time but this just made me laugh cuz its only been 3 days and them fucker shot up fast as hell on me. but il have to give the saran a try. ive never lined any pan trays just cuz they dont really side pin like say cubes do. they just kinda side pin right at the casing layer around em and ive always been able to just live with it lol. but if anything i bet itd make cleanup even easier

For me it gives me some leeway if the moisture levels build up in the FC. The little excess water will go to the sides between the wrap and the glass. I like it.
