I can't really say for sure, but I haven't seen any evidence of albino spores. When I look at the gills with a hand lens, I see little black specks which I assume to be spores, but I could be mistaken. Caps are solid white and lack the grayish/silver color I'm used to seeing w/ pans.

Hi guys, would appreciate the help tremendously as I too am attempting to cultivate Pan Cyan from wild spore prints collected
I've been having trouble isolating the right mycelium from the other non Pan Cyan mycelium in my PDA agar
From my understanding of Pan Cyan morphology, they appear circular in shape and the mycelium grows out uniformly which is very pleasant to look at
Attached are pics of what I think could be pan cyan mycelium growing on the walls.
Do you guys thinks this is the one ?
I've made multiple agar plates and so far this is the only mycelium that has this uniform growth and circular in shape
Once again, appreciate the help given
Kind regards

Nice photo cambocyan!
My tray finally triched out after 5 flushes. 418g wet. Can't wait until the big tote arrives to grow multiple varieties at once

When you harvest do you cut down every single fruit including the immature pins so the surface is bare, then heavily mist and wait for the 2nd flush?
Or
Do you only take the mature fruits that are clearly ready while leaving the immature fruits and what is still remaining is considered your 2nd flush?

When I harvested, there were pins the size of a rice corn, can't pull these out. Other than that I left the medium sized ones to grow. Will change that probably once i have a nice amount of pans dried and don't care about yield 😅

No worries man I'm not judging anyone here. I just think that the topic is a bit cloudy and some confusion surrounding the whole thing. It's one of the only areas of cultivation that isn't focused on in teks

Wow!! You just keep pulling rabbits out of the hat elpico. Those look like albinos. Here's some sporeless "rainbow eucalyptus" for comparison. A very different look.

Hey there Rumblestrip! Interesting, I would agree that those are distinctly different from what I have. Awhile back, I swabbed the gills to agar, got growth and produced the same phenotype Whatever they are, they grow and pinset aggressively, and look pretty neat, IMO.

i tend to harvest the entire tray for the most part myself. however i let the mature ones get as full as possible before hand then i take them all.

What y’all think?

Would you consider this a typical flush with MSS?
And when would you recommend harvesting for prints?

Very nice grow you got there brother! I'd say that's damn good for MSS! You could probably get another 24 hours out of those before harvest time. The caps will open up quite a bit and the gills should be visible when looking from eye level.
Any of you veterans remember the monster Pan thread where everyone posted their heavyweight pans? I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Awesome, thank you!
I've never taken a print from such a small cap, I gotta feeling this is going to be a pita the first time....
And with cloning, same concept as with cubes? Just pick a good cluster and run with it?

I have only printed a handful of caps myself, still experimenting with when the best times are.
Cloning I'm also still new with. Since they all look exactly the same it's kind of a shot in the dark on which fruit you think will perform the best.
Whichever one you choose, split it open with your fingers and take a tiny piece of tissue from the center where the cap meets the stipe. I haven't taken a clone yet that wasn't bacterial. Just have to wait for the clean mycelium to outgrow the bacteria then xfer the cleanest leading edge.
