Jams. My bad. Jcm-print-agar-grain-pasteurized 70/30 straw/manure. I was low on manure. Lol. I hydrated the straw with poo tea from a previous f-up. The grains used is 75/25 rye/wbs.

Like I said it looks ok from here but I usually get pins in 4 days or less after casing with JCM's jambos.
What are your temps at? Maybe crank up the heat a little

their is something weird about coir in brazil it does not come in bricks comes in bag uncompressed and sold in liters like 10 liters its 2kg(2.2lbs) in weight, i guess one company makes coir bricks for reptiles and cost like 30 bucks per brick when expanded more or less is one kg(2.2lbs) and then their are varieties of trich you can get with coir lol, pre infested ready to use.

Things have been fluctuating between 77 and 82 at the warmest. I turned the ac on today cuz it was getting too warm. I honestly can’t remember when I set it in there. I’m trying to think. Found it. Thursday afternoon. So 4 days today.
How long do you let trays sit cased and covered before FC?

pesa, from what I've read back in the day is that they are not the same. IIRC, the first one you need to hydrate it first, and then break it down to use the powder, and the latter is the one that we use straight out of the bag. I mean they are both the same but the plaster of Paris you need to do some work first, it doesn't work well if you use it as it is.

Honestly I put the tray in the FC right after I case it for both grows in my sig and they turned out great.

I don't know why but plaster of paris is no good for what we need. I remember a thread about it and a lot of TCs said no bueno.

il usually get pins in the 4-6 day area after casing and placing. but thats when the sub is at the for sure 100% colonization mark. sometimes ppl will tend to case pans a lil on the early side just cuz the top may be ready not knowing that the inside hasnt finished yet. im not sayin this is whats goin on but in my own personal experience that was my biggest reason for inconsistant pin times. which is why i prefer to colonize/spawn to bags then lay to my trays when i can tell they are for sure at 100% by feel as well as looks.

Hi Jcm. 6 days in bag, then 6 more in tray. That was my last failure. I skipped the bags and was in black tray. I cased. Let it sit covered for 12 hours, misted real good and put in tub. I have 2 trays to case tonight. I will snap some pics this time.

I see. So FAE is a trigger for sporulation? I will try to increase it then. Seems weird that out of thousands of fruits not one drops spores

I never worked with manure before. I bought composted steer manure from a store, should I dehydrate it first?

I use store bought steer manure straight of out the bag. Mix it with my chopped straw and then bring to field capacity. Load into jars and start pasteurizing. No need to dehydrate it first

I love how fast pan myc is
Nec D tray on day 3

This tray is colonizing a lot brighter and fluffier than my cfl tray did. Hoping that's a good sign and not a bad one

Great, thanks. Do you find mixing manure with straw has better yields? Im only going to be using manure, verm and gypsum.

Hey friends, I am midway through fruiting a small grow and need a bit of advice, please and thanks in advance.
I'm getting a lot of short ultra-fat-stiped mutants.
Question:::: I would rather pursue more typical fruit - are pans like cubes in that I'd be better to go back to spore rather than clone a 2nd flush cluster I like the look of?
My goal with this grow was a taste to see what I think and an LC in the fridge to keep for future grows. The LC I have is throwing mostly mutants compared to typical say 70/30 so not ideal. I was foolish and did not clone from the 1st flush. Over-excited and not thinking ahead!
Thanks for reading and advising the greenhorn!

Everything I have read regarding cultivation with manure says straw is needed because manure (especially from cows) is too thick and turns to a mud-like consistency. I recommend using straw.
