I did a grow with just manure pellets and straw, I got fruit but they weren't as strong as the fruit I've grown with brf in the mix. I'd like to try it again with some proper manure though.

Good manure produces good fruit!

Yeah you're so right, I think the pellets I have are gross. They smell awful. haha. I'll give a straw manure mix another go. I might put some of this jambo LC into it if it ends up finishing clear.

So... I didn't have anything (no straw or manure), I spawned my Pan cyan 'rainbows' to straight coco coir. I know, I know.
When should I case it, and with what? Pic of what it currently looks like, fast moving wispy growth like everyone wants... I really want to give these a spin.
50/50 peat and verm? I don't have either... I was gonna try pasteurised potting soil like an asshole. Has anyone every succeeded doing that?

Nice fuck convention!! hah! I'll interested to see how this turns out! Maybe if you have a way of getting the potting soil to the right ph??
I wait with baited breath!

I think AKA said he cases with Jiffy seed starter mix since it's already been pH adjusted

I couldn't get my ph meter to work and just chucked a handful of calcium carbonate in my casing. Dont think we get jiffy mix over here, would be handy otherwise.

Last time I used straight jiffy from the bag everything I cased it with molded. I also cased a few sketchy subs with a 50/50 mix of coir verm. Those were the only ones to survive. It’s far from conclusive but, I’m not going to be messing with jiffy without a buffer and pasteurization anymore.

Thanks pasty, I'll be sure to pasteurize, I'm thinking a boiling water bucket tek type deal. Maybe microwaving the soil directly, worked great for my cacti project.

Is mine ready to case though? Not sure when to case.

For pans I’ve always pasteurized it but I’ve never had a problem with it straight from the bag with cubes.
I’m sure having like 8% rh most of the time is a huge factor so stuff isn’t growing in the bag.

Casing is just too easy to do right to fuck with jiffy.

Yeah I just decided last time I cased that I'm done with jiffy. It also has coir in it, so I think the mycelium colonizes it more than you'd want from a casing

This is my first time growing pan cyans Any advice?
Its straw+manure cased with turtle substrate (its mostly peat/peat moss) + vermiculite + gypsum + calcium carbonate. The trays are in fruiting since Friday, so roundabout 4 days. Rh fluctuates around 95% at 2 complete air exchanges per hour.
Does it look alright? Is the FAE enough?
Any feedback is appreciated!
