Thanks Jake.  I got them with the idea of going directly to the grain. So I'm gonna do that and try to put them to agar as well and hopefully I can get something to continue with after that. It looks to me like the vendor I used doesn't have any pan prints.

Yikes... ok well that wasn't what I was hoping to hear on the fogger. I'm kinda done on spending money on this.  I keep telling myself it's just one more thing but the spending never stops.

Thanks for the reply

It's one like this.  Fogger

I wouldn't have ever bought it if I had known I would need to upgrade.  At the time I was just trying to do stuff in mono tub type setups.  But I've already got the martha with holes cut and had to modify the fan, so I'm in a bit too deep to go backwards.

It’s this one https://thehouseofhydro.com/collections/all-products/products/3-disc-mist-maker-with-float-and-spare-discs
You will need to supply a fan tho I would get a water proof one from Hoh they are not too expensive

Thanks for the offer.  I think though if I'm spending any money to correct this it might as well be a full correction and at least get a 5 head since I already would have to get a reservoir and fan and tubing. You believe that would be enough to not have to worry about problems?  Is your 12 maxed out or are you comfortable with room to spare on yours?

I'm the type that when spending any money, I'd rather spend the money I need to make it work than to spend less to limp by.

Is your fan set up like theres is where it blows in a hole in the reservoir using positive pressure to move the fog?

Something else I wanted to ask everybody was how much yall recommend adding millet to an oat jar?  I've heard oats might have difficulties. It's the only grain I've worked with as it worked so well first time and every time as far as getting the moisture right for cubes.  I read somewhere about using 75% millet and 25% oats I think for pans.  If it will measurably increase my probability of success I'll try it.  Already have a huge bag of oats.

And if you do that, do you prepare them separately and then just combine them in the jar I would figure?

if you simmer the millet and oats for the same amount of time, the millet will explode and be a mess. they need to be prepped separately.

Central Florida                  Wild Coast

Both of these were knocked up 8 days ago. I'm thinking the WC is a worthless culture, and not too sure about this CFL either. They seem slow compared what I've been reading here. People talking about fully colonized in 6-8 days w/ no shaking. Any input?

I'm also worrying about the same thing. All of my jars, whether cube or anything else, always take upwards of three weeks to colonize. I grow 20 monos every month and whatever I do, my shit always takes way longer to colonize than what I read on here.

i get fast colonization times with lc or tiger drops and g2g, standard wedges i get standard times oc 2 weeks give or take, i find the major keys to good colonizing are good inoculant good grain prep and proper temps and adequet gas exchange.

going on day 5 g2g with wheat that was rinsed well hydrated with diluted coffee and gypsum added, master jar was 8 days to colonize with 50 mm petri dish cut in half and shaken on day 6 , temps in the room are about 77 to 79
