I thought it has high nitrogen levels to its carbon level. Wheat straw is 75:1 carbon to nitrogen.
Anything lower than 80:1 then it would require nitrogen and not provide it.

A Wild Coast clone. Still figuring out the new FC. Had a couple of crazy clusters on the tray. This is a shot of the biggest cluster and how many fruits were in it when I harvested.

That tray was 122g wet. Not a great first flush but enough to fill up the stores for sure.

Zifo, have you tried the weza yet? Just wondering how the potency is compared to WC.

Hell yeah asura!!
For you experienced pan growers. How important is it to let freshly pasteurized poo/straw sit on the shelf before being used?
I have a jar of jambos ready to go. Do I have to wait the full 5 days?

Your first flush will come up about the same the only major difference I notice is it may make it longer into additional flushes before contamination than it would otherwise

I’ve never noticed much difference using it as soon as it cools or waiting a few days.
Here go the jambos

The leds do some weird stuff to my pictures. This one it makes the myc look much thinner than it is. In person it’s way whiter.

I've been having great success now following BH/Asuras path of sterilizing sub in bags Was having more contamination problems with pasteurized straw/manure I guess the grower has to try each method and figure what works best for their situation

Currently have four trays in the FC: two done via sterile sub bag, and two with grain spawn into pasteurized sub. Both from the same LC. Not that I expect it to be any kind of real comparison, I'm still pretty amateurish.
I'd say if one process works for you better, stick with that unless it's not giving you results. Personally, I can't stand the smell of pasteurized sub. Like something shat itself and died... thankfully it goes away within a day or so after mixing the spawn in.

Yeah the sterile bags will work for me however the BH Bulk recipe does not work for me I’ve tried it multiple times and it always goes in aerobic that’s why I like adding the straw, I think a lot of it has to do with the exact materials you are using but yeah pans are very finicky you have to find what works best for you with the materials you have in the environment you’re in, I just can’t get good consistency with LC and sterile bulk like I can with spawn and pasteurization

I tried BH's recipe for a few runs and went back to using straw. Sub was just too dense.

So do pans prefer a compact or an airy sub? I’ve heard both from different people. I’ve oft wondered if the reason manure is good has more to do with its consistency than its composition.

Definitely airy. If the sub is too dense you might have a culture that can power through, but more than likely it will stall out.

I think there are just more things that can go wrong vs. cubes. Not necessarily complicated, but you need to know what to do when certain situations come up.
