definitely do a transfer.
sometimes I keep germination plates around just to see what they do, but i never use them to noc anything up even though I know it can be safe. I'm with those guys…it gives me peace of mind to be better safe than sorry. xferring from MS is a good habit to have, especially if u are using PP5/glass plates, cause u dont need to worry about unnecessary waste.
here is an update on the 2 bags I nocced on 9/2 with agar wedges. cambodigenesis on left, and cinct on right. i shook them both only once at around day 10. the cinctulus never recovered fully, but there are small patches of white scattered along the bag.

cased the cambodigenesis with peat/limestone, put into fruiting. here is substrate before casing.

I'm leaving town next week, so I'm crossing my fingers they pin before then. if not,my neighbor will be taking pics.
1st flush cambodigenesis. cased thin>put into fruiting. second thinner casing sprinkled on 2 days into fruiting.

(after harvest) they were on their best behavior this time. didn't eat too much casing for dessert

Hello everyone, I'm in the process of fruiting my first Pan Cyan Jamaican and I ended up with overlay over the majority of the surface. After I adjusted the fae it started pinning. About 15 pins pushed through the overlay and I noticed about 5 others attempted to and then aborted. So I got my scalpel and scored all of the overlay.
Was that a bad call?

Your humidity is too high.
I have no experience with scraping off the mycelium so I can't speak with certainty.

I'd say that's a call better made after some advice was recieved.
@BL, does that happen often for you with pans? Not recovering I mean. The only time I tried to grow pans so far stalled after a shake.
I seriously want one of those eberbach or oster blenders, would be much easier if you just flooded the whole thing with blended LI.

i had cinctulus stall a lot on me. in grains and on bulk. they are weird for sure. took several attempts(since last summer) to get that last grow where I wanted it to be.
cyans/cambo's i haven't had that issue.

I made three transfers from my original cinctulus plate yesterday as suggested.
They are already colonizing through the wedge!

Nice tray BL
Is it normal so see a lot of metabs on pan cambo towards the end of sub colonization?
The spawn looked super clean I don't think it could be bacteria.

I was pretty confident in my spawn and sub and I had little brown metabolites. I thought maybe it was just hpoo colored condensation. I cased it and it fruited a few flushes.
It looked like little spider eyes looking at me.

Yeah the spawn looked really clean, smelled great, recovered quickly.
I may have let it consolidate a little longer than necessary because there were a few spots of hpoo that were lagging behind. I think because I didn't get the spawn super evenly mixed.
Cool, thanks grey. I will keep you guys updated when I hopefully get pins.

Hell yeah man, looking forward to seeing your pins. I let mine go a little too long and got these pins.

I cased as soon as I saw those (crazy carefully), and they took off after that.
