Sweeeet! Good to know JCM I'm getting all the pieces together to build your FC and was wondering about that. I'll be good to go now

My casing layers are always still intact after a grow.

Edit: Look at the casing surface here. This is what I like.

Dude what variety/species is that white?

It was an Aussie cyan culture I had that decided to produce sporeless white fruits.

Hell at this point I'd buy any print off someone. So far I've burnt through 20 plates trying to get my Pan Hawaii syringe to germinate...supposedly they germinate well on BRF pucks so I'll try that as a last resort before I start panhandling for prints lol

Mine is the exact same variety and germinated on LME. 4.5g LME 5g agar 250ml water Edit: However they were already suspended in some kind of liquid culture which I inoculated the agar with. Idk, you can also try to make some poogar.

It's not that fruiting conditions are hard to maintain, but what's the point of fruiting at spawn? What would you be accomplishing with this? And what's easier...a tray covered in foil in a closet for 5 days or maintaining a FC for 5 days (refilling water, checking conditions, etc)?
I use the same gh for cubes as for pans, and it's always going. Would I be hurting anything by just throwin' the trays in the gh at spawn?

also pans are not cubes if u case at spawn theres a good chance it wont perform the way it should. u dont wanna case when the myc is in full blown chow down mode. ur likely to emd up with an overlayed shit show.

syringes are usually bacteria ridden as fuck and personally i think they should go the way of the dinosaurs. i absolutely despise them as they cause more problems than prints do by a long shot. ive had some dirty ass prints before and ive still had better luck getting clean healthy growth from them compared to any syringe ive ever had.
pefect example
this is one of the better ones that still gave a cpl places to transfer from and this one was from the best vendor there is especially for pans.

I'd love to know which other species are happy under the same fruiting conditions as pan cyans. An obvious guess would be pan cinctulus but I'd like to know what you all have to say.

Yep the stone producers love it.
Pans will completely eat the casing if you do it too soon. Even casing at 100% wasn’t working for me, now I wait at least two days after it’s fully colonized before casing.
I agree with pans having very distinct veg and fruit stages. It’s pretty cool with pans you can almost summon pins at will by manipulating the moisture and air.

Me? No I never asked for one. But, if you had one to spare I'd be very appreciative!
I definitely regret buying syringes though. I got really lucky with my cube syringes in that 3/4 germinated really well and were amazingly clean (all T-1 went to grain with no issues) but this Pan one is pissin me off. Lesson learned.
The lack of germination gives me a little more time to finish the JCM style FC though. I should be finished in about a week!

To better stay on topic: I about a week or so ago about a huge pile of horse manure I found on craigslist wondering if it's any good. I went out and picked up two trash cans of it and they've been sitting in my ~40F garage since then. They've started growing some fuzzy white stuff all over so whatever the hell it is will be getting sent out to the dump. I don't need any help growing contaminations lol
