I'm sure they do. But the folks that played with the micelienated grains tek haven't found those to be effective.

I got pan myc that turns blue all the time on agar and even the fluff from "overlay" turned a very dark royal blue. I didn't date eat any but maybe I'll save some the next time I see it.

I got a bunch of stuff going here. I’m about to make transfers.
There is obvious good stuff here. Then there is questionable looking samples. Thoughts and opinions please. I sure do appreciate them. Don’t want to waste time n money on bull shit.

u got lots of good growth there. all u can do is make sure shits clean and get some stuff on grain or LC or whatever ur usin. u never know till u fruit it out and the more transfers u make the more genes u take away from what ur usin. like i said i hardly ever go past t2 from a streak plate. i wont start takn multiple transfers and shit til after i get a clone and start tryin to refine it the best i can. just find somethin  u like and go with it thats really all u can do. there is plenty of examples of good growth on mine n asuras write ups so just compare and contrast and go to town👍👍

I did read a tek that was for extracting from myc. Literally just colonising loads of jars of grain, then using that to make tea.

I have no good answer to why fruiting is favoured though.

Other than guesses about the amount of actives and quality of the actives.

Well I have plenty, lol. Spores and mushrooms lol. I just didn't know if it was feasible or a halfway decent option for someone who didn't want to go through the process of harvesting mushrooms. Idk

Only Subtropicalis and Zapotecorum have active micelium but you have to leave them in the jars for at least 3 months. And in that amount of time you'll get much more actives if you grew mushrooms out of that spawn.

That is interesting, I found zap mycelium developed a crazy blue tint even while it was well hydrated and pinning.

ive had pan myc brusie fuckin green as trich b4. it thru me for a loop the first time i saw it im sure aome of u others who have been growin them for a while have seen it also.

oh and all 6 clones i took were successful👍👍 made my first transfers last night. i had to navigate around bacteria on a cpl in spots but i should now be 100% clean and good to go. i plan on getting them all on grains within a week and start tryin to get these to fruit worth a shit. 2 of them are red spore so im really hopin for some good turn out on those. itd be awsum to get a whole tray of redish nec ds 🤩🤩

Would using Hpoo matter directly to my agar/LME mix work? Mary fairchild makes tea to make hers but you have to wait 20 hrs to use it lol.

I was thinking mixing 5 g agar 4.5 LME and 3-4.5g Hpoo. Why make the tea?

I'm sure mary did that as a one off and doesn't normally do that. You could
ask her though as I think she pops in to check PM's here and there.

Out interest, what would the goal by with mixing hpoo into the agar?

Standard agar mixes seem to work well enough?

I think the idea is along the lines of giving the myc a little taste of their
future home so when you eventually noc up a bag of poop they tear it up. But
I have not seen any evidence that it matters.

I haven't seen the evidence either but I have been doing tests. And pretty soon I'll post some results. When I get em. The idea behind it is the mycelium creates enzymes to break down matter. Fact specific enzymes for specific matter. Example being woodlovers for wood, dung lovers for dung, saprobic species for decaying matter. The idea is your getting the mycelium to produce those specific enzymes earlier on so when it does hit bulk it knows what to do and doesn't stall hopefully. Pretty soon I'll have a control experiment.(edited)

Cool, sounds like a solid hypothesis. Would love to see whether it can be observed.

Well i have a syringe in which the spores are suspended in liquid culture, 3 total but they are 2 diff species lol, 1 cubes the other pan cyans and i am trying to germ them all bcz i dont remember which is which

2/3 germinated and 1 seems to be the pans, its whispy and has the morpholgy but ima fruit them all to be sure. The 3rd is stubborn and thats why i wanna make hpoo agar

So you put the spores in LC in a syringe? Spores are rarely clean a good idea would be try try agar. You should be able to determine cube from pan on agar by the growth. And that way you know it's clean.

I feel the vigor of the leap off has more to do with nutrition percentages than it does with where the nutes came from. Mushrooms predigest there food sources, and only absorb molecules that they need. What they don’t use they don’t consume.

il add that a strong healthy culture dont need to be prepped on what to do. i promise if u have a healthy strong culture it will have absolutely zero issue going from one medium to another. i can drop a wedge to grain and have full blown jump off and good moving growth in 24 hrs and the exact same goes for when i spawn that grain to bulk. so its nice to think your controlling the outcome and helping it along but belive me it needs no assistance

The syringe was from a reputable vendor and the petris i inoculated and germinated had 0 contamination, surprisingly. I already have wispy irregular growth which I suspect is pans. Now I have to get the 3rd syringe to germinate and I'll have my answer lol
