Wish my trip buddy was local. It was way easier not losing my shit. She's not screaming...it must be ok
And after I was like "I'm only growing this" I think I say that every time.
I mean I'll dabble in other stuff but seriously cyans are like god mode.

My experience this past summer I was outside my normal comfort zone, and with my nephew and his friend. We went to meet his friends cousin. In a huge fucking city that I’m very familiar with but now with some youngsters. I was nervous to the max but as I have never lost my shit before or had a bad trip on shrooms. We split an 1/8 3 ways. I took the >1.1g What an amazing night, life changing, it was perfect timing and just what I needed.
I have had cubes since but every time I’m just like...why?Maybe mixed, I’m down to give it a whirl, but if pans are not involved, I just don’t see the point.
I feel I would be wasting substrate trying to grow any ol cube. But I am interested in the blue meanie strain of cubes, and the RW sounds like it’s worth a go. I just don’t know where to look for the blue meanie print. I have a friend that loves them. I have had some that are very good, before pans of course. Lol 😂 😂😂😂😂

Got another bag mixed up and cooking. I just love this part!

The smell reminds me of my college years in Texas. I lived on a veterinarians ranch and took care of all the horses in exchange for room and board. Smells like the barn after it’s cleaned.

I think I have an empty tote around here someplace. Actually I have an idea for them with my gh. I plan to install 1 more pc fan in the bottom of gh blowing out the same as the other two. This fans duct I would run to tub set up with 5 1.5” polyfil holes to prevent spores from getting in or out. I might want to split it and run 2 tubs off the 1 fan? Well now it’s posted so I don’t forget.

I love hearing about how people prefer these over cubes. Having only ever had cubes, it's super motivating to try 'em out.

Well fuck me.. my first attempt was a failure.
I got another quart of cyans finishing up colonizing right now and I pasteurized 4 more quarts of sub last night. Hopefully this next attempt is better.
Everything was going great up until I cased it and placed it in the FC. It's like it just stalled out then 4 days later tammed. I wonder if I didn't properly pasteurize the peat/verm casing? I need to get a more accurate PH meter I think.

I've got a straight question here: when pasteurizing substrate (manure) do you let it sit inside the bag knotted up? It's my third time doing this and this time I pasteurized a larger amount of substrate this way, let it sit for four days and today it stinks in comparison to the previous bags I made in the past (with smaller amounts). I'm gonna pasteurize it again and then make holes to the bag this time (to try to prevent that stalled smell), let it sit 5 days and freeze it for later use. What's your opinion on making holes there? Or should I pass it to another container to let it sit there? Any feedback is appreciated!
Edit: I forgot to mention this manure is already aged and dry (it sit around 3 months before using), and I've already used this manure succesfully growing Pans. But what caught my attention is this foul smell with bigger amounts pasteurized. I dunno if this is normal or what

I usually just leave the bag loosely spun closed while pasteurizing and then when I take it out fold the top of the bag under and set it down.
I used to have pin holes with mp tape on them for ge on my bags but the last couple times I skipped that and it was ok.
These are oven bags btw.
My sub smells way stronger and worse after sitting too. I thought it had gone bad the first time but still used it and it was great.

What a relief! Thanks Aka. Shit, I put the bags about an hour ago. They are right now at 120F, dunno if to take these out would harm them or to start and finish the proper pasteurization

slower than cubes and not whispy doesn't sound like a winning culture imo. BUT, what is pan hausteca?

Tweeq I've had this happen before with several strains where the culture looked like that and I was able to fix it by using a different nute mix agar BUT that didn't always work. I don't know what causes it and I've also had cultures that looked good eventually do this where they flattened and got hard like that.
