@ cronicr, theyre still just truckin along..the casing from the previous photo looks like it's starting to put up a descent pin set..ill put up another photo in a day or so k..all casings look strong, no contams...just seems theyre off to a slow start..with the goliaths i recently grew, they put out a few fruits here and there and then bam!! the real flush came in so thats what im hoping for

Haha I am far from a pro, thanks though

Preppin poo. Just built this little shredder today. Gunna let it dry there for a few days. Then, i will try and figure out how to store it so it doesn't get rancid like last time. Last time I store whole nugs though, so that may have something to do with it. Hopefully shredded will be better. Not sure if it will absorb a lot of moisture over winter or not. Might put in a 5 gal bucket with desiccant.

Dude that's really awesome, and I am totally inspired by this. That looks incredibly easy to make and easy to use! I think the desiccant packs are a great idea especially if there ware a way to purge out any extra air in the bucket once filled I would think it would keep.

I'm prolly gonna steal this idea lol!

Yeah man go for it, it took like 20 minutes to shred that and I went kind of slow. That is a lot of pan substrate right there.

Cant remember who, but someone on here recommended 1/4" hardware cloth and it worked pretty well. Gets it just fine enough I would say. Any smaller than that and you're just going to have poo powder.

Sweet! $9 a roll you def can't beat that! Home depot right down the road and extra wood all over the garage. I will be shredding poop soon lol!

I'm thinking two or three large packs of desiccant layered throughout the bucket might work

damn dude, that poo is shred so fine it looks like kief

gonna post this here.  its those weird bugs again.  they only go for Pans it seems like.  they are not normal gnats.  no movement on casing layer when misted (like you would expect for normal gnats), but this is how they start…maybe its a phase of their life cycle.  stationary, even when touched. u can see antennas in the last picture. they mount themselves on walls and lid

If your going to do the desiccant route- you may need to give it a bigger surface area or redistribute it from time to time. I dried cow poo in a 5gal bucket that was ~2/3 full with a desiccant- "Damp Rid"- container kinda sunk into it- the stuff on the top dried well but the poo on the bottom stayed damp. Like you I made a sifter with 1/4" hardware cloth- that worked well.

You could use something like a couple tube sock or panty hose so that the desiccant forms in a long thin manner thathat extends from the bottom of the bucket to the top then load poop around them.

heres a bisporus update, this is after i harvested a few fruits for printing..forgot to snap the picture first damnit!  anyway looking much better however, the other 2 big casings havent pinned yet and i dont know why? i scraped back the casing layer on them a bit cause maybe it was too thick, now i will just wait patiently.
