Trop Lighter and more delicate usually with lighter spore drop
Cyan Thicker than trop with a more solid color and larger deeper cap &gills

Bisp These are the easiest to spot much larger caps when fully mature flatten out to quarter or half dollar size usually less tall darker color when young then they can take on a creamy color when mature

Cambo can be the trickiest although the Komodo is pretty easy to spot
The sandoze has a common dwarfing pheno that Does not always appear but the thickness is still noticeable even in non-dwarfed cultures
And then sometimes it can be harder to spot but there are still color and texture differences imo

Nice, thats a great set of images, and interesting to see some of the differences.
I need to have another look at the spore print I used for these cambos. In my memory is was reddy rather than purple and dark. But I could be dreaming.

Welp. I have tried pans and failed probably 5 times now. Lol. I tried Pan Cambos, Pan Jams, Pan Cy Big Island, Pan Trops and although I think I finally got the moisture content in the sub worked out, I was still not able to get anything to pin.
I am going to keep trying and this time I am going to make sure my genetics are looking good. I think I still select with my cube goggles on as it were and I think I need to look at this at this myc differently.
So... I would appreciate any advice selecting from the following three plates of Pan Cy Texas:
Plate: 1:

Plate 2:

Are these little white formations necessarily a bad thing? I encountered these a couple times now in different jars. All of them came from an apparently healthy agar wedge What caught my attention is that they seem to be pushing against the glass. They remind me of contaminated cube mycelium with bacteria. They look kinda close. What's your opinion guys?

I get those if I let spawn consolidate. There’s this old legend that pans make stones too

well... That's interesting! That stone looks like a brain lol. It might have good properties for cognitive functions as lion's mane, who knows?
And what a relief! Thanks Aka. It's just a consolidation phenomenon then; I thought I was doing something wrong. I noticed these today checking the jars in the fridge. I always try to use the spawn as soon as it reaches 100% as majority suggests but as I'm always busy with work I can't spawn them most of the times, so I throw them at the fridge. So far so good Do you often let them consolidate at the shelf or save them in the fridge too?

So I gave my dad a gram and a half of pan cyans and suggested he try half. Of course he ate the whole thing and his comments afterwards were “those were much stronger than APE.”

Do you find that bisporus runs slower than others? I've got a few plates that look good but aren't very fast and I'm trying to decide whether to use them or not.

They seem to take 2x as long as pan cyan at every step of the way. For me at least.

This is likely his 4th time. His first two were with me and I’m sure he did at least one solo previously. But I dosed him his first time 3 years ago lol.

I’ve never had good results with old pan spawn the couple times I’ve used it.
I’m about to send my parents same capsules of natalensis and see if they take them or not. I know my mom will but I’m not sure about my dad. He was always wound pretty tight but retired a few years ago and definitely mellowed out. He started growing weed out of the blue last year after they legalized it and he tried some gummies.
“Those were much stronger than the ape” cracked me up man. I think almost everyone I’ve given Pans to has said something similar. It’s hard to convey just how strong they are. Even knowing what to expect I was still caught off guard.

Shit that’s the best time to if your ever gonna do it. When I’m 66 I’ll trip whenever I damn well please.
My dad was a preacher man. Built a church and used to go to prisons and preach to locked up women and ran classes and for work did hard labor and taught me to do the same. Then one day he decided he wanted to smoke weed and now he runs a hydroponics shop and teaches people how to grow weed and make extracts. I swear I never saw it coming. But I’m happy he found what he loved and just fucking did it. Not many people have the balls to do that but I strongly believe that’s what real life is all about.

Damn I wish my dad would smoke. He's 70 and has never even had a beer which I think has a lot to do with why he's always so stressed out and high strung lol. He doesn't even drink caffeine...How he raised 5 demon children without any sort of a vice is beyond me

That's fuckin inspiring My parents would never even smoke weed. Apparently even highly educated ppl are not immune to cultural programming BS.

I don’t trust people who’ve never even been drunk or high once.
Unless it’s because they were raised by parents with substance issues then I can understand. Other than that you’re either way too conservative risk wise or not nearly curious enough for life.
